This is our favorite place to stop for lunch in Carytown when we're visiting Richmond for the day. A little pricy for lunch, but the flavors are exciting, portions are large, and it's a laid back, cozy atmosphere. The pad thai is exceptional, as is the drunken noodles.

We had heard divergent opinions about this place and decided to check it out. The food was OK. The service was not. Our server was curt and not much help in assisting us with our choices. The portions were very big and when we also ordered green papaya salad as an appetizer I wish he would have let us know... More

Went on a date and the service was great and so was the food. They have the option for ground pork which isn't a deal breaker but was a pleasant surprise. I think they are used to over ambitious yankees because I got a #3 on the hot scale and it was pretty mild. The crab rangoons were pretty tasty... More

Decided to go because of favorable reviews. Went with three others and sadly we were very disappointed. Ordered the duck panang curry. The duck was old and covered in soggy batter and the curry sauce lacked depth. The large peppers and other vegetables pieces where to large and under cooked. The fish cake appetizers were rubbery. The large flat rice... More

Excellent chicken Pad Thai and sesame chicken dishes. The tea was nice and hot on a cold day. Service was excellent. family member comes here often and always has a great meal. Small place so get there early. Dinner comes out very quickly. In the middle as far as prices go.

We ate here after going to the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts, on a Sunday evening. Delicious food, lightning fast service, and a college basketball game with closed caption on the one TV! We love basketball, so perfect for us. Quiet jazz music on. the restaurant is small, intimate, with few traditional Thai decorations on wall. It was too cold... More

I visited the restaurant on a Friday night for a first date. FYI: parking is hectic on a Friday night in Carytown. After parking in a garage that was a few blocks away, I found myself inside this petite but intriguing restaurant. They have a little patio where you can sit and watch the people pass by in Carytown. I... More

Finally reviewing Ginger Thai which is my favorite Thai restaurant in Richmond area. I have been there at least a dozen times and never disappointed. Great menu choices. So tasty....! Drunken noodle with beef is my preferred dish. Love the curry options. The owner is almost always on site and is very proud of producing quality food in a professional... More

Just your average Thai restaurant. They were a little pricey but the food was good. I don't really plan on going back just because I've had better.
