Even the TSA agents got friendlier when they saw the bag. This store has a remarkable array of chocolates and other candies from around the world. The handmade confections behind the counter justify a trip to Richmond.

A chocolateholics paradise! I bought several Christmas gifts there, as well as a dark chocolate candy bar for my step-daughter who is quite the critic of candy. This store has an amazing array of candy, not just chocoate. It is fun to look around!

I am originally from Baltimore Maryland. I was in Richmond visiting my daughter for a few days and she took me to this cute shopping area called Carytown. It was enough to make me consider relocating because the convenience of all the different kind of shops is amazing! I found heaven when I walked into FOR THE LOVE OF CHOCOLATE!... More

If you are in Carytown you need to stop in. They have all kinds of chocolate. If you want a chocolate turkey for your Thanksgiving table they have it!!! They also have some non chocolate candies. We brought home a granny smith apple covered in caramel and two kinds of chocolate. It was fantastic. If you want something fun and... More

This store has the best variety of choclate in town. From imported choclate to locally made truffles, this store has it all. The staff are most helpful in suggesting specialty chocolates. They really need a larger store for all the stock they carry.

In my opinion if you can't find the chocolate you are looking for here, it doesn't exist. I thought the selection was fantastic and enjoyed browsing to see what all chocolate goodies are out there. I felt the prices were reasonable and didn't know what to choose. All chocoholics should definitely stop in if they are in the area. My... More

If Willy Wonka had a Richmond outpost, it would be this place. Chocolate only begins to tell the story, as aisles and aisles of sweets from around the world tempt even the most fastidious of diet watchers. Even sugar free sweets are available (is that an oxymoron?), and the staff usually knows their stuff when it comes to finding the... More

Decided to check out Carytown while visiting Richmond. This place was near our restaurant so couldn't resist. Their selection of chocolate from outside of US was impressive. We have friends from Germany who treat us regularly with German chocolate and we were pleased to see many of our favorites. The truffles and chocolates made on site were eye catching. The... More

Two creative men created one of the first epicurean destinations in the city and have proven to have staying power. Their "curated" collection of fine chocolates is always fascinating and delicious. - Gary Inman
