Good meal, but restaurant was not able to accommodate request for omitting onions from a steak and cheese sandwich? Really? Made me think that the food was not prepared fresh to order. The burgers were very good and service was adequate.

Good beers on tap, including a cask selection. Bartender was very knowledgeable - had a good home brewing discussion with him. Other customers also very friendly. Nice atmosphere. Food good as well. We tried the beer battered onion rings, salad and pizza. Would gladly return.

The bartender was great. It was a pleasure talking with him and hearing stories of the bars history. I had... More

I have been going there since they opened in 1994, they have been consistent in their service and beers. James is a great publican. They consistently change their offerings and they... More

It's a local favorite - lots of great beers, and the brie and pineapple sandwich is awesome.
