Incredible taste.

Business trip, chosen by a local. Fried green tomatoes as an appetizer were memorable as one of those tastes you don't forget. Shrimp and grits were also excellent. Great, friendly and informative staff. Definitely a place to experience

We are not from Richmond so we asked friends for a suggestion and they said this place had southern food in a fancier style. And that's pretty much it. The food was delicious, well presented, and the place's atmosphere is very cozy and stylish. I had shrimp and grits and my husband the NY steak (had a great sauce) We... More

Food was very good...nice variety on the menu....fish/meats/pastas, etc.....Excellent service (our waiter's name was Joe)....decent prices...not out of the park as some others are....nice specialty drink menu....too full to eat dessert...that's a good thing, right?

Juleps was recommended to me during my last trip to Richmond a couple of weeks ago. I like the area that the restaurant is located in, and the place itself is in a very unpretentious looking corner building. It is quite lovely inside with a sweeping staircase and beautiful old wooden beams. We were told by the waiter that it... More

I anticipated that this would be something that was just hyped up and it would be a let down. I was pleasantly surprised that the food was great. I got the shrimp and grits cooked to order and my date got the seasonal fish (rock fish ) and both were great. Although I'm greedy and not full, however I'm satisfied.

We ate here on 1/15/15. What a goldmine! On our way back from FL... my wife doesn't like to drive too many hours, so we stopped in Richmond because it was about 6 hours from home. I looked online and found Juleps and Mama Js. (Still looking for Southern cuisine while we're in the South.) We almost stopped at Mama... More

We have been to this restaurant several times, good food, great service and a quiet place for a nice dinner with my wife and friends. It's in Shockoe Bottom which might turn some off but with on street parking and good food it's a great choice in Richmond.

We made reservations, and were seated right on top of another couple downstairs by the window. They cram folks in there. When making our reservation I asked for seating upstairs; on arrival was denied. I hate basically sharing a table with other people, there was no privacy in the conversation. So try to pick a slow time to go, if... More

Really good southern cousine in a very friendly and relaxed atmosphere with friendly, attentive and knowledgeable staff. This part of Richmond, except for the highways, is like a European city. All in all, much better than any of the major chains of restaurents

Given the other reviews was expecting much better. The fried green tomatoes were very good, the pork belly appeared to be overlooked and the country seafood soup was a little bit too salty. The service was excellent though and the server was helpful. Maybe I should have gone with the Rabbit which the server recommended highly.
