Nice buzzy atmosphere

This is short stroll from the Al Madarig hotel. It is obviously popular with locals as well as with visitors. Good quality, authentic Sicilian food. Ate our first (of many) cassatella pastries.

Excellent and value for money. Delicious, relaxing. Set in the lovely Castellamare del Golfo. Great food, friendly staff. Try the couscous.

Our first night in Sicily, and this trattoria provided an excellent introduction to genuine local food. Tasty arancini, wonderful pasta, yummy ricotta pastry.

We had dinner here the other night and were impressed. The cozze were the best we've had yet in Sicily: fresh, tender, flavorful and cooked in a perfect broth--not too watery nor too salty. We then had a grilled red mullet which was also very fresh and well-prepared. My boyfriend loves cannoli and so is also a tough critic. Theirs... More

This restaurant was recommended by our hotel as a place which specialises in fish and is reasonably priced. It is located in a narrow road in the heart of town and has a really nice atmosphere. The tables are well presented in the courtyard area and there is an indoor section too. It is the kind of place which is... More

We visited several restaurants during our stay in Castellammare Del Golfo and among the ones we visited were so Egesta Mare without discussion number one! Nice, respectful and knowledgeable staff. The menu consists mainly of seafood. We visited the restaurant twice. everything we ordered was ellegant presented, and tasted simply wonderful. Prices were quite acceptable. Considering the quality of food,... More

Below avarage due to pricing. Avarage food compared to other restaurants in the area. I payed 40+ euro for a sad starter, mainstream pasta with overcooked prawns and undercooked pasta (no, not aldente) and a nice bottle of wine. At least I could take the winebottle to go.

We had seen this restaurant when looking around the city and when our hotel recommended it we decided to go there. I ordered the grilled tuna and it's one of the best meals I've had, ever! The service was good and the atmosphere was nice.

We were recommended this restaurant by our hotel and we liked it! Wonderful sea food. The restaurant was very pleasant and beautiful and the staff quick and friendly. We thought it was well worth the money and recommend it highly.
