We enjoyed the atmosphere and the food

Attracted by TripAdvisor reviews, we searched for the restaurant on Monday night. It was difficult to find in a closed alley, and then it appeared closed (TripAdvisor said: open from 19:30-23:30...; needs correction). So we returned on Tuesday (after calling them for a reservation), a quiet night... read more

Fresh fish in salt. Super! Restoran near the sea, in old town, good service, dear staff, comfortable environment.

We came to this restaurant because of the good reviews and seeing it was crowded. STAFF: not very nice - they were evidently suffering from having too many people to take care of; the would make us feel pressurised to make a swift ordering, would be totally non supportive and wince when we would order less than two dishes each.... Excellent and value for money. Delicious, relaxing. Set in the lovely Castellamare del Golfo. Great food, friendly staff. Try the couscous.

Our first night in Sicily, and this trattoria provided an excellent introduction to genuine local food. Tasty arancini, wonderful pasta, yummy ricotta pastry.

This is short stroll from the Al Madarig hotel. It is obviously popular with locals as well as with visitors. Good quality, authentic Sicilian food. Ate our first (of many) cassatella pastries.

We had dinner here the other night and were impressed. The cozze were the best we've had yet in Sicily: fresh, tender, flavorful and cooked in a perfect broth--not too watery nor too salty. We then had a grilled red mullet which was also very fresh and well-prepared. My boyfriend loves cannoli and so is also a tough critic. Theirs... More

This restaurant was recommended by our hotel as a place which specialises in fish and is reasonably priced. It is located in a narrow road in the heart of town and has a really nice atmosphere. The tables are well presented in the courtyard area and there is an indoor section too. It is the kind of place which is... More

We visited several restaurants during our stay in Castellammare Del Golfo and among the ones we visited were so Egesta Mare without discussion number one! Nice, respectful and knowledgeable staff. The menu consists mainly of seafood. We visited the restaurant twice. everything we ordered was ellegant presented, and tasted simply wonderful. Prices were quite acceptable. Considering the quality of food,... More
