It was better than I was expecting

I was a little concerned as we walked into this place for a late breakfast mid week. Not a lot of curb appeal on the outside, and pretty rustic on the inside. Took a few minutes to get noticed to be seated, but from there on, not too bad of an experience. Our waiter was a young man (early 20s?)... read more

Ate dinner here while staying at a nearby RV park. Took about 5 minutes for us to be noticed by anyone and to be seated. Sign's say "Breakfast Served All Day", however, menu did not have any breakfast items. According to their menu, you get refills on iced tea, but not on pop. Wife had their Tuesday special which was... More

Service slow so don't be in a hurry. Be sure you ask for salad dressing or anything else you need when you first order

We met family here for supper with 9 in the group. Wait staff was very good in taking our order and keeping drinks filled. Food came out reasonably fast for a group of our size. Everyone said their food was very good, (cooked and seasoned properly). Over all a good place to stop in Johnson City.

We ate here for breakfast on a Sunday morning. The special was chicken fried sea and eggs and bloody Mary's. .. so we ordered 4 of them.. the bloody Mary's took 30 minutes to be delivered and we were half way through our breakfast by then. One of the chicken fried steaks came out as chicken fried chicken. When we... More

We were underwhelmed by the diner's atmosphere and decor, but they had very friendly waiters and the best onion rings we've ever eaten. Their chicken fried steak, eggs and bacon breakfast, and coffee were also great. We'll definitely return. Come for the food and service, and don't worry about the tired furnishings.

When we are near my girlfriend insists we stop for the chicken fried steak. She orders with no gravy (she is from NYC) and has one of the delicious sides. Traveled by the other day at 8:30 am and she wanted to stop for another I always order mine the correct way, slathered in gravy. Sides are tasty and fresh.... More

I usually dont review places that you can tell by looking at it, isnt much to write about, typically you get what you pay for and I leave it at that. We tried to get into another place but they were packed, this was our Plan B. It should have been Plan Z. Half the seats were empty but they... More
