Went to an early dinner with a friend. The front door leads us into the bar area. The atmosphere was very homey. Lighting just right. Warm yellow painted walls which were adorned with paintings and scenes of Italy and Italian wines and food. We ordered fried calamari which was served with a pomodoro tomato sauce. The calamari was cooked perfectly... More

Whenever my wife and I have a special occasion, we have dinner at Ricardo's. The food is excellent, Dennis, the bartender has an amazing ability to remember what his customers like and he makes excellent, generous drinks, the dining side is romantic, and the bar is packed on Friday and Saturday nights, and they have live jazz on Fridays. If... More

My husband and I will go to Ricardo's every few months. There is live music weekend nights. We like to sit at the bar. Dennis the bartender is amazing. He remembers the new wine I tried and liked a few months back. We don't even bother with the menu and just get the specials. The meals are really big. We... More

Ricardos offers some good basic Italian dishes at good value and usually appealing daily specials (typically non Italian and a little pricy). The red suace is a little sweet for my liking but the lighter sauces are good. The atmosphere is rustic without TV's and they have live music on weekends. I believe this place would do better if the... More

Went here last night. We had a 5 P.M. reservation prior to going to a concert. We don't understand the bad reviews. The food was very good, the service excellent and the atmosphere charming. Either others were there on a bad night (as sometime happens), or we were there on a very good night. We will return.

You can see the theme that (someone) was trying to create with the posters on the walls. But that's where it ends. Grossly understaffed: 1 1/2 hours to eat. Run down. Bad food: half-cooked pasta, half-cooked broccoli rate, half-warm linguica. The waiter offered an excuse for the wait: he'd "placed the wrong order." Other tables suffered the same fate. Avoid.

"Authentic Italian Cuisine". I Don't Think So! Chef Boyardee is more authentic. The owner may have travelled extensively through Italy, but the chef sure didn't. Save your money.

We enjoyed our experience at Ricardo's yesterday. The decor, ambiance and live Jazz band created an unique atmosphere. We had their specials this evening,-strawberry/veg salad and Haddock baked in a blanket- both excellent. The service was very good. I would highly recommend this restaurant for special occasion.

We used to eat here frequently, but had discontinued because the service had deteriorated. We decided to give it another try. What a mistake! Not only had the service not improved , it was worse than ever. We arrived ten minutes before our reservation and were greeted rudely by the owner. After being seated, we waited at fifteen minutes before... More
