Basic Steakhouse Fare That's Well Done (But Rare)

We've recently tried Outback Steakhouse after a long absence. We were pleased with our decision. The service is friendly, the quality of the ingredients is good, and the food is cooked correctly (or they'll redo it). You get the fare you expect at a fair price. The call-ahead to get in the wait... read more

I got a Cobb salad here, and got the crispy chicken on it, the chicken was all breading barely any meat, and the "chicken" i was given tasted like it was old and like it was cooked earlier in the day and then re-fried and given to me not to mention it also wasn't even hot. Very disgusted if you... More

Food is the classic from Outback, nothing special. Service is poor; waiters are very quick, not really pay attention to the customer, just get ting the order and go. My rate is average because the price/quality is just sufficient; for sure it is not a restaurant I will select for a dinner with guests and/or customers. It is good for... More

Got the Outback Special. Couldn't cut it. I'm not sure if the knife was that dull or the steak that tough. And the "loaded" potato was only warm and barely had any bacon, chives etc. Didn't send the food back because I got the feeling there was more of the same out back. Won't be back soon.

While our waiter was a nice guy, he missed on a few points like recommending the Outback Burger. While the meat was ok, it had a very pre-fabricated once frozen feel to it, my burger roll was crumbly dry and over-aged. I guess that it is a steak house but usually expect burgers to be good at those places.

Had dinner there one night with no problem. returned with a group of 9 an it was a disaster....no service and everything was very slow and wrong. I feel Outback is slipping in lots of ways.

My first and last visit to an Outback Steakhouse. Found my steak overcooked to my liking and my baked potato was very dry. For the money, should have been better.

For the category chain family oriented restaurants, Outback is okay, better than many (perhaps not as good as Long Horn or Texas Road House or Salt Back). We stopped in at 7:00 on a Friday night and after a 20 minute wait were seated. Service was good despite it being full. The food was okay. My daughter's potato-bacon-chedder soup was... More
