Udupi Bhavan serves up some of the tastiest Indian food I have ever eaten. I have been here for their lunch buffet many times. It is a vegetarian restaurant. Although there are no meat dishes offered on their buffet, you won't miss the meat at all. Included in their buffet is a Dosa, which is a large crepe (sort of... More

Each year I pick a new place to celebrate my birthday. I am vegetarian and from New England so this is a challenge. After a lot of research I chose Udupi Bhavan in Lowell. I went with my husband and son and we all loved it. Because of the snow I called to make sure that they were opened. I... More

We found this little restaurant on Trip Advisor while traveling cross country. We loved the food and the idea that we were the only Caucasians in there! Surrounded by lovely happy Indian folks. We'll be back.

The spread was good, highlight was the pav bhaji. Wish there were more south side side-dishes like poriyal, most of them were North Indian style. Also the rasam somehow reminded me of paya :). The dahi vada was too sweet for my taste. But the dosas are crisp, sambhar spicy, dal tadka was good.

It was a good weekend spread. The dahi Bhalla was the best I have eaten in a long long time. The dosas were a bit salty and oily. The channa dal was superb. The kheer was delicious. The only reason why this misses an outstanding rating is that an Udipi restaurant has to get its dosas perfect.. and Dosa Temple... More

This was the first time I had ever tried Indian cuisine, I had no idea what to order but the wonderful staff helped my boyfriend and I order from the menu. The place was small but everyone was so nice, they checked on us often and all the food was very tasty. It was a very reasonable price and I... More

I read the reviews on this site and decided, "What the heck; got nothing to lose by trying it out." Followed the directions and still missed it at first as it is tucked into the side of a little strip mall behind a convenience store. Not a really inviting exterior, but once you get inside that all changes. The place... More

This place is great. We found this place on the net when looking for south Indian options in and around the Boston area. It was quite a drive from downtown boston, but it was totally worth it. The place is a small place with a small/mid sized buffet, but all the items in the buffet are delicious. They also have... More
