If you ever happen to travel to beautiful Apulia, you shall not miss it! Four young brothers have set up this delight about 4 years ago: the eldest one is the chef, the youngest is his helping hand in the kitchen, one is the maître and the other one the sommelier. They put so much passion in what they do... More

While you're travelling in Puglia you will easily find great food & wine, but if you're passing by Trani (and even if you're not that close by) this restaurant has to be in your list! It's a group of young professional that have decided to mix some of the most classical dishes from the region with few small details able... More

This meal was an adventurous delight! Everything about the evening was wonderful, from the service to the beautifully presented dishes, which should actually be framed and in a museum, to the unexpected and incredible flavors which accompanied each bite of what was in front of you. I can't recommend it any stronger! If you are in Trani, and are a... More

I have left this city many years ago and immerse myself in a wonderful world of wine business ever since. What inspires me most every day is seeing how some winemakers can combine humility, knowledge, creativity and still be attached to their terroir respecting where the grapes are coming from without missing of course adding a touch of personality which... I went to Trani with my partner for a short visit and decided to go for a nice lunch, knowing that there are really good restaurants there. I decided to go to Quintessenza for two reasons: first cause a friend from Puglia suggested this, second cause it had really good reviews on here. Additionally most of the reviews had comments... This does deserve its high placing. We tried the five course tasting menu which was excellent. The local wine recommended by the staff to accompany it really did complement every course. Our waiter had excellent English and was able to explain each course, their ingredients and how each was cooked in detail. The service was attentive but not too much... More

We spent our time in Trani, Matera and the region just south of Rome. We ate at a different place each night for 11 nights. Although it is not easy making a decision of this sort, we both felt that Quintessenza was the most enjoyable meal of our stay. The food was superb, and the ambiance delightful. Highly recommended.

We travel to Puglia twice a year as we have a property near Alberobello. We'd never been to Trani so decided to pay a visit and, based on previous reviews decided to have lunch here. First impressions were great - very friendly staff, big smiles and so professional, without being stuffy. Our waiter was Domenico, who, having worked in London,... More

This was by far the best dinner we had in our 3 week trip to Puglia and Basilicata. I would recommend a visit to Trani, especially for a meal at Quintessenza. Such a variety of impeccably fresh fish and seafood dishes, expertly prepared and beautifully served! Let Dominico be your guide through the menu and you won't be disappointed! We... More
