Nice varied menu and good attentive service

This is a nice place to eat. Not cheap but the menu is good and wine list extensive at reasonable prices. Service was good and the food was of a very good standard. Apart from the antipasti and secondi I ordered a primi whilst my wife did not, rather than her sit through my course they brought her... read more

We ate here the first evening on our arrival in Trani. Nice terrace and sheltered from the rain which was hard at times. Good food, fresh fish nicely prepared and good service. Nice wines and a really pleasant and friendly waitress. We would recommend this to anyone.

The food is fabulous, the service friendly and efficient. The fish antipasto one of the best ever eaten and fish al sale superlative! Great local wines and homemade lemon sorbet. Wonderfully child friendly. Will return as soon as possible.

Very good starter: cuttlefish with tomatoes. Fresh fresh and delicious Main course: turbot fish wasn't that fresh they did not charge me for it which is the decent thing to do The restaurant does serve some very good fish on a nice terrace. On a saturday evening the service was a bit iffy. Good local wine selection

We sat outside on a lovely March afternoon, waited twenty minutes to order, then thirty for the appetizers to arrive, then another thirty for the pasta course, but the food was so good, so carefully prepared, and so surprising that all impatience vanished. The grilled seppiolini and the baccalà appetizers make you stop and pay attention to each bite, so... More

The best thing about ai Platani is their offer of luxurious entrès using local products but taking them to the next level. The wines were all local (Pugliesi) from some of the most renown wine brands of the region, namely, Donna Teresa, Tormaresca and Botromagno from Gravina di Puglia. All ingredients fresh and local, the homemade pasta added up to... More
