Truly inspired and delicious food in Cambridge very close to Harvard. Wow this was quite the meal. The 3 course prix fixe was $55 but everything sounded so amazingly inventive and delicious that we splurged for the tasting menu at $85. It was delicious and filling. Some of the preparations were truly original (I never had duck on rutabaga that... More

After a co-worker told me about this place I made reservations for an upcoming Tuesday night wine series. I was a little put off by having to park 10 min away (only because it was freezing out!!) and once I walked in it was quite small and looked like it could be "stuffy". Glad I was wrong! This was one... More

Good brunch, that's unique and quality is difficult to come by. This place is small (use Open Table) but presented very well. The smoked onion and rock shrimp soup was flavorful, subtle and frankly one of the best I've had. The vegetarian benedict had a sweetness and freshness - even the muffins - that was really enjoyable. My wife's omlette... More

I selected this place for Sunday brunch because the reviews were pretty good, it had jazz, and it took reservations. What I got was a wonderful, delightful, delicious meal. The service, as mentioned, was very good. It was also quiet enough to hear the unamplified jazz band playing which created a really lovely ambience. The orange juice was completely delicious.... Disappointed after waiting a while to eat here. We came for restaurant week and had the prix fix menu. If I had paid full price/a la carte I would be furious. The good --service was good and attentive as it should be at this price point --sourdough bread was terrific with a perfect texture and level of sour --butter (real... More

A lovely, small restaurant with a very interesting a'la carte menu and tasting menu. I enjoyed my diner but I am not sure I would go back. First, everything was well prepared and served. The service was generally good ... though it took them a long time to get our wine order which is odd because there really aren't more... More

We had one of the best meals we'd ever had at T.W. Food. We went early and it was very quiet and a beautiful room. It's a small place with brick walls, so as it filled up over the evening (and one large celebrating group was pretty happy), it got louder. The food was exquisite: the mix of flavors, things... More

It is deceiving when you look at the place from the outside. Although the place is quite simple, the lighting and atmosphere are really nice for an intimate meal. The food was awesome! We went for the Chef's improv and surprise menu and all dishes were spectacular. The price is very reasonable considering all the courses provided and the quality... More

Tue. nites there is a 4-course fixed menu with 4 wines for $55. You can't beat it! Each week the menu is based on food and wine from a particular European region. Last Tue. it was Northern Italy. First course was a 2-part: crispy striped bass and shrimp fra diavolo -- excellent. (You could have had a salad instead.) 2nd... More

Based on six of us experiencing their 7-course tasting menu, I reluctantly give T. W. Food 4 / 5. In large part, I do so because I don't want to put it below an East Side Friday's Grill that gets a 4 / 5 because it is in a different league that anything big box. But for a restaurant that... More
