Lovely little special occasion restaurant

Went here to celebrate the older kid's college graduation. The graduate, whose friends were clustering at a few better known restaurants, was utterly charmed. We all had the 3-course prix fixe menu. Big thumbs up for the wonderful arugula salad as a first course, and the pasta, cod, and ribeye... read more

Big thumbs up for the wonderful arugula salad as a first course, and the pasta, cod, and ribeye entrees. The chocolate pot dessert was almost too rich. Nice... More

I've lived in Boston for 14 years and only discovered T.W. Food a few months ago .. I've been seriously missing out! This hidden gem is tucked away in Huron village and is charming on so many levels. The food is exquisite, beautifully presented and incredible flavours. The service is excellent and the atmosphere is delightful. I'm going for the... More

we weathered the last march snow storm for a real treat- the asparagus with egg was wonderful, the beef ( shoulder) ate like a flank steak- was done delicious . Our dessert with chocolate, merengue was delish too..figure $45-55/person

My high expectations for T.W. Food were certainly not met. The food served ($55 for three courses or $85 for six courses) is good to very good, but not excellent, as there simply is not enough creativity or flavor on the plate. I started with the foie gras creme brulee, which was enjoyable for a couple of bites before getting... More

Thanks to a friend who had been given a very generous gift certificate, we both had an amazing dining experience in this small, intimate neighborhood restaurant on tiny Walden Street in Cambridge. The portions were just right, and the wine/food pairings were great. I am not a culinary snob (not that I can afford to be!), but due to Life's... More

This is a wonderful experience in all ways. The service is excellent and attentive. The food is very well prepared with very fresh and local ingredients. We began with the muscles. I have a very tender and properly prepared steak which I seldom order and I was pleased with the portion size and preparation. My wife had swordfish which was... More

I have been fortunate enough to dine at T. W. Food a number of times and each time is wonderful and always new. The menu changes all of the time and when they have a wine pairing tasting menus I try not to miss it. They flat out know what they are doing. The service is warm and friendly without... More

Brunch can be so boring but on a recent visit to T.W. Food we had a beautiful brunch with fresh ingredients and elegant service. Three of us had eggs benedict done with spinach, cauliflower and parsnip, the sauce was not the usual Hollandaise but a bernaise sauce with tomato paste added for a sweet and rich taste combination. They serve... More

Dinner here for 4 was quite good, if not spectacular. In general, food was solid, though mostly not outstanding. (Exception: the Agnolotti, which really was outstanding.) Foie gras crème brulee app was very enjoyable, if a bit more bland than hoped. Other dishes and desserts generally were certainly OK, though flavors seemed a bit muted. Platings were uninspired, and did... More

I have tried various fine-dining places in Boston/Cambridge and this one is top of my list. Creative dishes made with fresh ingredients and attentive service. Recommended for a romantic evening.
