Great food and service at the Royal Sonesta Boston

We stayed at the Royal Sonesta Boston (actual location is Cambridge) for 3 nights. As the ArtBar was only open for breakfast and lunch during the winter season, we had our first dinner at Dante's. From our waiter Johnny's introduction (authentic Italian) to the biscotti dipped in sweet wine for dessert, our dinner was excellent. We shared everything. The burrata... More

Surly bartender who seemed annoyed even with the simplest requests. We did not eat one of our dishes because it was very strange in texture and taste. The bartender did not offer a refund or ask what the issue was even though we told her it was not right. Disappointed with food, given the ratings and reviews the restaurant has... More

We had reservations for Dec. 24 and did not know that it was only a prix fixe menu with no other choices at all. At $75.00 per person (gasp!....with no wine included), we stayed reluctantly and hoped for the best. Out of the four courses, one was tasty, two were average and one was really below average and there was... More

We came there for a late drinks and we liked it a lot. We did not order anything to eat there so I cannot comment on the food. Service good - great staff. Will go again.

I had not been to Dante's for many years. It used to be great 4-5 years ago. There is the fabulous view over the Charles River as well as a great terrace in the summer. But the food is just not up to par to the location. I tried it twice in the past 2 weeks as I was staying... More

We booked a reservation for a Friday night at Dante’s to celebrate my son’s birthday. We had read the TripAdvisor reviews and most were positive. When we walked in we saw the TripAdvisor logo proudly displayed. As it turned out, our experience was not very good and the food was terrible. Upon arrival there was no one at the hostess... More

Great food and helpful, friendly staff but the lighting is a little too subdued. The bar area is great too as we also went in just for a drink one evening.

A decent place to be able to dine at the hotel. Our waitress was ((Rosemary) quite poised and attentive, as were the support staff, but I should add, it wasn't busy. A real nice option are the smaller serving sizes and prices. The food was very good. I had the pumpkin apple ravioli, my wife the Gnocci w Short rib... More
