If you don't do anything but read the menu it is worth visiting this famous Cambridge establishment. We took our son to visit Harvard Law School and this was our first stop! Directly across from Harvard the location is great. It is small but the burgers are wonderful. So many options. Cash only. Plan to go there every time we... More

Lots IOC options with burgers named for celebs and pols. It's the thick and juicy style burger so be prepared with plenty of napkins. Really exceptional sweet potato fries. The decor had not changed in 50 years and the kitschy posters are OG (original grease). Family run not a boring chain restaurant

A plethora of burgers to choose from celebrating local and well known celebrities. The shakes are a perfect accompaniment. It is a one of a kind burger joint. No chain experience here and the burgers are tasty too. Not to be missed.

You must have a burger at Mr. Bartley's to complete your Harvard Sq. experience. They make delicious burgers often named after local personalities. Located right across from Harvard Yard.

If you are a burger lover, this is the place for you! Mr. Bartley's Burgers has been around for over forty years in the heart of Harvard Square. It's a small, informal place and nearly always crowded. The menu is exhaustive and offers any topping you could dream on over the best beef. If you want to get a feel... More

Bartley's is a favorite, hole-in-the-wall style of eatery located in Harvard Square, in the shadow of Harvard University. Not surprisingly, you'll find a lot of Harvard students eating there, as well as locals and tourists. The burgers are outstanding and the menu is unusually varied. And yes, Bartley's is famous for its politically-inspired burger names, such as the Ted Kennedy,... More

I like Bartley's food and fun experience. They make a great chocolate malted shake and cook a delicious rare hamburger, and I can't find either of those in many places. The experience can be fun, too: long shared tables or bar seats, jokey wall signs, and the entertaining menu with burgers named for famous people, with commentary. Tip from a... More

Okay, I'm prejudiced. I first ate at Bartley's in 1963, when I was in college and it was only a few years old. Nevertheless, the Bartleys (the sons now run it; the parents started it) make great burgers, cooked to your exact specification. If you like onion rings, you definitely should order theirs. This is one of the remaining landmarks... More

From minute you walk in you know it is different. Great drapes. Fantastic assortment of burgers cooked properly and very good onion rings. Staff is fun and attentive. Had a nice cream sundae for dessert and it was perfect to end a meal from yesteryear a. Worth the wait if there is one.

They have funny burger names that's about it . Burgers are below average , atmosphere is dull. It's like they consider the name as incentive enough for the people to come eat. Furniture is old, waiters are rude. Checks are handwritten on a small piece of paper, u can barely understand what is priced how much and they accept only... More
