Good beer and food

Stopped in for a pint and some grub. John Harvard's was excellent. They had a good brew selection, and traditional pub food along with some lighter fare. I had a great salad with roasted beets and a true English pint of bitters. yum.

I stopped here for lunch before heading to Logan Airport to fly home and it fit the bill. I was originally going to order Fish & Chips but opted for a Dunster Burger with a side salad. My meal was very good, but I felt the service was a little lacking since I had to ask for water twice. The... More

I spent 3 nights at John Harvard's while attending a program at Harvard. The food and drinks were good and reasonably priced. The servers were very friendly and accommodating, always willing to change the channel for a requested sports game or suggest a drink or explain menu items. The place was spacious and clean. Overall, I had a very good... More

If my friend had not introduced me to john harvards, I likely would've missed this gem! It's become our "cheers" this term! The staff is all outstanding! Super polite and great service! The food is amazing the fries are top notch and the hummus plate everyone simply must try! I am so so on the spinach dip; it isn't bad... More

The service was pleasant and professional. The portions were large and the food was very good. The lobster avocado club was a nice addition to the menu.

Went there last night with my friend visiting from Ireland and we had a great time. The decor is awesome, the food was pretty good & the beers were awesome! A wonderful pub experience. I stuck to the pub theme & order (GIANT) fish n chips, my friend good mac n cheese with buffalo chicken. The menu is very diverse,... More

Enjoyed the selection of beers offered. Winter salad is top notch and the Turkey burger was very tasty (with a side of jalapeños).

Great beers, very nice food and warm atmosphere! Went for late lunch and had a shepherds pie and my husband had meatloaf! Both were delicious and reasonable big portions! Loved it! Hardly recommend it!

Like many chain restaurants the food is ok at best. While definitely a step above national chains the food is still for the most part bland and uninspired. The quality is mediocre and it's overpriced for what you get but then again that's common these days.

Visited for my 40th birthday. There beer is very good as is their food. My husband and i both got salads and they were fresh and very good. Since it was my birthday i got a dessert for free and i chose the flourless chocolate almond torte. It came in a jar with vanilla ice cream. It was heaven. It... More
