Delio Susi, in anticipation of his restaurant’s tenth anniversary, refined both his restaurant’s menu as well as its interior design, to great success. Losing none of his Abruzzi roots, the food is clean but clearly Italian, and a little rustic. The warm and inviting room makes the same statement. Drawing on his architectural background, Susi plays with simple organic materials, like square slate tiles and tabletops, and brown leather tufted banquettes. The use of brick plus copper fixtures contribute to the Italian country/casual feel that serves food and wine to match. Wooden floors and European style open windows for the summer add to this ambiance. And red lamps that hang in bright contrast with the earthy tones during the day, shed a sexy flattering nighttime glow. Amelia’s Trattoria offers a personal and authentic dining experience using top local ingredients infused with the heart of its Italian chef.

Excellent food; outstanding service.

Had a business trip to Boston so I went stag to Amelia's. Had the short ribs Bolognese with fettuccini. Really good; pasta cook perfectly and sauce allowed the meat to shine. Excellent Caesar salad to start. Staff was very friendly. Highly recommend.

The place is small and crowded on weekends, but the food is totally worth it! We went Saturday and we felt a little rushed but service was good anyways! The Zuppa Di Pesce and Rosemary Rib eye were excellent! The Wine choices were great! It is not the best place for children or for romance since the tables are really... More

Great italian food and pasta. I've enjoyed everything I've had there; I would recommend going for whatever the pasta special is. During good weather there are quite a few outdoor tables. The restaurant is small, and the indoors can get loud during busy times. Prices (roughly $20 for lunch and $30-$35 for dinner) are in line with other restaurants in... More

Came here on a week night. Restaurant full and good atmosphere but also quite noisy. Initial interaction with staff suggested the service would a little bit off-centre and it was! Food was very good and real feeling of being homemade. Particularly like the polenta starter and the bolognese for main. The expresso creme brule was not good and don't understand... More

This is a small place and pretty noisy. It had good Italian food, although the waiter made a mistake and brought me spaghetti with mussels instead of clams. Good service

Lucked into finding this place while on a visit to Cambridge to tour colleges with our son. Awesome food and great conversation with the owners. We loved Cambridge and this restaurant was the icing on the cake. I highly recommend the meatballs and our son really enjoyed the Portafoglio. We will absolutely come back when in the area.

Went here with wife and daughter when dropping her off at college. It's a small place but the food and service were very good. The dishes were presented very well and were tasty as well. The arancini appetizers were excellent as were the pasta and fish entree's we had. Would definitely go back.

Descent atmosphere and coze interior. Small chef run place with good Italian. Accommodating folks in case you wish to try something else. Quality and taste of food is consistent. Can get noisy at times (which simply reminds you that the place is Italian).

The food is is VERY good. Unfortunately the service can be slow. If you are willing to deal with slow service when they get busy then you will enjoy it. Their lunches are excellent as well.

I've been here a couple times with friends when I'm visiting the Cambridge area. It's a tiny little place not really close to much else but still in a decent part of the city within walking distance of a couple T stops. I came here over the winter with a friend after having found it on this site, looking for... More
