Description: Delio Susi, in anticipation of his restaurant’s tenth anniversary, refined both his restaurant’s menu as well as its interior design, to great success. Losing none of his Abruzzi roots, the food is clean but clearly Italian, and a little rustic. The warm and inviting room makes the same statement. Drawing on his architectural background, Susi plays with simple organic materials, like square slate tiles and tabletops, and brown leather tufted banquettes. The use of brick plus copper fixtures contribute to the Italian country/casual feel that serves food and wine to match. Wooden floors and European style open windows for the summer add to this ambiance. And red lamps that hang in bright contrast with the earthy tones during the day, shed a sexy flattering nighttime glow. Amelia’s Trattoria offers a personal and authentic dining experience using top local ingredients infused with the heart of its Italian chef.

My wife wanted Italian. so with nor reservations for the North End on a Saturday afternoon, we went To Amelia's. It was early (6pm) and the place was empty. The service, of course was good. The ambiance was fine, very small place, maybe 40 seats with a bar in the middle of the dining room (go figure, use the space for... More

I eat out quite a bit, and this is possibly the worst restaurant I have ever been to in Boston. Unfortunately, I go there often, because most of our business lunches and dinners end up there. But, because of that, I have a consistent set of data to base my review on. The service in this restaurant is a joke,... More

Met friends with kids here for dinner on a recent business trip to Cambridge. Amelia's is a good balance of well-prepared food and kid-friendliness. The prices are quite reasonable for the quality of the cooking. I had arancini and a special entree of wild boar sausage with white beans and rapini that was delicious. My friends' kids were able to... More

Such a lovely place; small and intimate, cozy and warm; the most wonderfully friendly and capable staff; and exquisite entrees, especially the homemade pasta dishes. A truly special experience.

We went there for a special occasion taking my niece from MIT out to dinner. Arrived at 6:45 and did not get food until 8:30 and had to ask for it. One waiter for the entire restaurant. Food was very average and after eating in the North end would never go back. Ordered Calamari for appetizer and it was mostly... More

It was our first time at Amelia's after going to the Kendal Cinema. It is a small restaurant that seems cater to their regulars. We had reservations but our table was In a high traffic area. Our service was rushed & we were bumped as waiters were serving others. The pasta was homemade , fresh and perfect portions.

We just happened upon this little bistro - maybe 25 seats inside with a pretty patio too. The food was delicious- try the specials - the plates are too amazing to eat. Well priced for the portion size and the homemade focaccia is yummy. Super service too!

The Basil Gimlet cocktail was an excellent start. Very unique and refreshing on a hot summer day! The antipasto plate was a great start and the seafood risotto was a hit with the entire family. The desserts were delicious. The service was excellent. Friendly, warm and observant. Our waiter even steered us away from the more expensive bottle that I... More

During a 2010 visit to Cambridge, we really enjoyed our meal and put Amelia's on our "we've got to go back" list. Well, we did. And, now we wish we hadn't. The food had lost much of the light touch that had made it so enjoyable before. And, the service -- if you aren't one of the local regulars --... More

We ordered mushrooms pappardelle and olives with fennel salad. The salad was ok. The pasta was good but with very few mushrooms. The portion were big. ( enough for us).
