We brought a group of six to Puritan on a very hot July night. It was on the early side and their air conditioning system seemed "overwhelmed" as it probably did not drop below 76-78 degrees throughout the course of the meal. This was an unfortunate distraction from an otherwise pleasant evening. The food, particularly the snacks and appetizers, were... More

We came here recently for a special dinner and couldn't have been more delighted. They had a great selection of bubbly by the glass (my preference) as well as a house ginger beer available for my husband (his favorite). Everything down to the bread (pretzel rolls - thank goodness they only brought one for each of us and we turned... More

Puritan & Company are a great hidden gem in that area. The food is quite good, with a small selection but all very nicely prepared and presented. The fried green tomatoes was certainly a green add-on as well. Great wine selection.

Three in a half stars. We loved the atmosphere, the service was okay. The bar was a little slow. I thought the food would be a little more special for the price but it was very tasty and well prepared. Beware of the Gourgeres, the cheese filled breads they were a little too rich. The pasta was very good, light,... More

The pictures I took can convey my impression about the restaurant better than my writing. The whimsical presentation of food plates as well as the placement of herbal planters on the bar counter subtly bring in the rural farm elements to this modern restaurant. The bill was placed inside a specially designed greeting card printed with recipe. How gracious!

Let me start by saying I loved the design aesthetic of this place! The aperitif glasses looked like something my grandmother would have but they sparkling clean and not chipped. I loved that the napkins were tea towels. I loved the beer glasses. I loved that my club soda was served in a jelly jar. Someone put a lot of... More

Found this spot in a magazine that boasted of several Cambridge eateries. We were looking for a lunch/brunch destination during our weekend visit to Boston/Cambridge & reserved for a Sunday afternoon. The interior is spacious but welcoming. The din is definitely there, but you can still speak to & hear your table mates without raising your voice. The food...I wasn't going... More

For a Mother's Day brunch, this place was perfect. The set brunch menu was limited yet there was an option for every tastebud including vegetarian. The sausage appetizer served with lentils and fava beans was delicious as was the eggs and steak (perfect steak). The pork hash with eggs was tasty though the hash could use a little more meat...
