My husband and I enjoyed the restaurant very much. They were full, so we sited in the bar and ordered there. The wine and beer selection is good, and the food is very good. There is a wine store in the same building, which is also great.

The Cellar is the downstairs bar and upstairs is "The Garden at the Cellar". Had an incredible burger topped with foie gras. The bartender was fun and knew the menu. Great spot off the beat of touristy Harvard Square and close walk to the business school across the river. Observed others food and it all looked good. Definitely recommend!

I highly recommend the beet sliders with rosemary truffle fries. One of the best lunches around. And the staff are friendly and quick.

I saw this place ranked four stars on Yelp, so I figured it was at least safe. When I walked in and saw standard gastropub seating and a dark and dingy-looking kitchen area, I became somewhat disheartened. The menu piqued my interest, as it was very different than what I was expecting. Then, the food came out, and it was... More

Garden at the Cellar has a very simple and rather small bar interior with only a few tables, very bare-bones. The food, however, is excellent – everything on the menu looks tempting, and the two small courses I had (scallops, butter-poached lobster) were very high quality, and thoughtfully and deliciously prepared. Great bread, too. Friendly and attentive service. The wine selection... More

I have been in this place several times but I have only had the classic Cellar Burger. It simply is the best burger I have ever had in the US so far. Plus – for Italians – there is a poster of Birra Moretti that makes me feel happy each time I look at it.

My boyfriend and I recently went here for dinner and drinks. We sat upstairs, although I think there is also a downstairs bar area that also serves food. The restaurant is very cute; overall it is pretty small with some tables and a bar upstairs, and not too noisy. The service was good; our waitress was helpful and very attentive.... More

I ate the gnocchi with lamb and mushrooms and it was lovely. The variety of wine by the glass is quite broad, the quality is good and the amount they serve you, generous. The waitress was nice, attentive yet not pushy at all. A fantastic way of going our for an early dinner!

We were coming into the Boston area on a Sunday night for a college recruiting visit the next morning. We weren't sure of our travel plans and had not made any dinner reservations. We did some internet sleuthing around Cambridge and found this restaurant and were pleasantly surprised. The menu was small but extremely creative and everything was well executed.... More
