We've been here for dinner to try the clay pot specialities. It's a medium size restaurant, no special decor. There were many Brazilians so I assume the food is authentic and good. We tried seafood in clay pot and lasagne with plantains. Seafood was fresh and tasty with delicious fresh tomato sauce, lots of veggies. Great comfort food! Lasagna made... More

I do find it satisfying to have very fresh, good sized portions of something quite unique. Muqueca's dishes were wholesome, quite comfort-foody. The rice that goes with the Muqueca is so-so, but that's not what you're there for. The place is full of Brazillian's, indicating it's probably quite authentic also. And the cilantro just makes the whole dish pop. Enjoy... More

We just managed to squeeze in here early on a Saturday night without a reservation. Tasty food, good portions, casual dining. The sauce that comes with the rice is scrumptious. The hot sauce is certainly that! If you're craving some seafood stew/soup you should definitely come here!

This was our first visit. The place is quite plain. The menu is interesting, and the staff were very friendly. But we were not thrilled with the food. In fairness it may have been the unusual ingredients and/or spices. And it seemed pricy ($20 - $25 entrees) for a restaurant that offered little else. We are not likely to go... More

Great food ! The venue is not that great, but at least is organized, clean and looks like a Brazilian restaurant.

Very disappointed with the service and food at this brazilian restaurant. The service is what concerned me the most. The server Marcia is careless, with no interaction and no common sense. A perfect example is NOToffering or providing a spoon to a 2 year old. She did not clear the dirty plates and dishes before bring our dinner. At the... More

I'm originally from Brazil, and I have to say, even in Brazil it would be hard to beat this restaurant to the title of "Best Food". They have very authentic food from different regions of Brazil. I started with a very traditional appetizer for the Northeastern region, the fried yuca with dried meat "Carne de Sol com Macaxeira (or Mandioca)".... More

This place has fast service and solid food. The tripe stew in particular was a standout, and was the best dish we had by far. While a few of the dishes we tried lacked a bit of punch, we plan on returning to try others. The table next to us got the fried red snapper which looked good, as did... More

I was taken to Muqueca by a Brazilian living in Cambridge who said he usually goes there when he is feeling home sick. After eating there I understood why that would be the place. The food was outstanding; the portions generous, but not overwhelming. I had the fish muqueca (served piping hot is a serving dish on your table) with... More
