We were lucky to get the last table in the outside patio on warm July evening. Lucky because it was very noisy inside - a large party. We had Sardines followed by Cataplana and Pork Medallions. The waiter ( who was amusing) recommended the Portuguese Avelada Vinoi Verde wine which is slightly sparkling and has a bit of a pear... More

Arguably the best of the many Portuguese restaurants in the area. Gracious, hands-on owners insure that the meals are consistently wonderful. Lovely indoor dining room and an al fresco patio that is an oasis in a crowded neighborhood. Only negative is the prices, which have risen over the years, making this more of a special occasion destination.

The seafood was amazing! The server Ben was great and funny was always asking what we need. He also gave us free drinks! That's what you call good service!

great atmosphere and service....very friendly...but the food did not meet its mark. The codfish in cream had no cream in it for example ...a little pricey and not authentic I'm sorry.I hope it changes.

The for was less than expected. I am visiting Cambridge and the concierge suggested that I tr the restaurant because it had the best local seafood. Trust me, this cannot be true. I ordered the shrimp. The were cold and prepare poorly. If I did not know better they were pre cooked and only heated to orde. This surprised me... More

Went to Atasca after not visiting for awhile. First impressions are lovely as the entrance is a small patio that artfully separates the restaurant from a busy street. Inside the decorations are warm and welcoming and the music of Cesaria Evore wafts softly in the background. The service was excellent and the choices attractive. Wines were very reasonable by the... ...And sometimes, you don't want fancy for lunch you want affordable, fresh and quick. Working in Technology square, we have no shortage of lunch options in the Kendall Square area but Atasca is a nice change. It is worth the 5 minute walk and is a quieter lunch option if you need to hold a lunch meeting rather than the... More

We had a wonderful dining experience at Atasca. The tiny white lights and beautiful spring flowerboxes out front in the patio showed such attention to detail that I already knew it would be great. Wine/drinks great. Atmosphere warm and comfortable. Our appetizer of chourizo pate and Portugese cheese with toasted bread started things off right, and our dinners were much... More

This was the WORST restaurant experience we have ever had! We had been there once before and had a lovely meal. This time, we were 3 couples. The men ordered a seafood stew which they all liked. The women ordered a grilled shrimp dish. All 3 of us could NOT eat the shrimp. They were soaked in salt and were... More

Had dinner there tonight with the GF...it was a rainy evening and the place was pretty empty when we arrived. I was excited to finally try the restaurant as we've heard only good things. Plus, I've spent some time in Portugal and was looking forward to some more of the great food we've previously had in the country. We did... More
