This is a very good choice for high quality sushi that is fairly priced and unpretentious. You won't get a $450 Kobe steak here, but you will get very nicely prepared sushi and sashimi, from the basics to some very good specialty rolls. The service was friendly and efficient, and the whole place had a casual neighborhood atmosphere.

Went to dinner here recently to celebrate my mom's birthday with the "omakase" dinner. She is Japanese and a very picky eater. Although the restaurant is in a drab strip mall, we were on notice that something special was about to happen when we saw that 4 sushi chefs were behind the sushi bar. One appeared to be devoted just... More

Our first visit to Cafe Sushi left us oohing and aahing about how fabulous the sushi and everything else was. We have been back 3 more times, and each time it is a wonderful experience. I especially recommend their vegetable sushi - 5 different vegetables elegantly and deliciously prepared, and which are ordered individually. We order one of each of... More

It was a cold night and I was dressed very casual so I didn't want to go to a fancy sushi place. However it ended to be good because I don't play around with raw food. According to boston magazine, this one was one of the good places nearby. It off the main square and trains but maybe a 10minute... More

Went here on a week night, having read a number of positive views. Food was very average. Most notably, the sushi rice was poor and too salty. Sushi roles were sloppy and some fish tasted odd. Sashimi plate was tasty but poorly cut fish (chunks of tuna!). To top it off, the service was poor. The waiter was not good... More

Last night, my wife was treating me to a birthday dinner at the restaurant of my choice. My son, had visited a place called the Sushi Cafe on Mass Ave in Cambridge and I saw one of his reviews and was curious. I happen to like sushi so I thought this might be a great place to try. Well, when... More

Lunched at Cafe Sushi. It was nearly empty at 1PM, perhaps because it was MLK day. Restaurant is quite large and open. Sushi bar was expansive. Ordered the Sushi Bento. Comes with salad, miso, and a bowl of rice. Loved the salad. Guessing the dressing is composed of high acidity vinegar, salt, sugar, ground onion, and oil Delightfully sweet and... More

After reading all the positive reviews for this restaurant my husband and I decided to check out Cafe sushi. We had flown from San Francisco where the sushi is second to none. I have to say we were most dissapointed with the quality of the food and more so with the service and lack of friendliness with the waiters who... More

We have been going to Cafe Sushi for over 10 years and the quality cannot be beat. Not only is the sushi top quality but the owners and staff are wonderful! Try the omekase at the sushi bar and you will not be disappointed.

A truly dazzling dining experience. The sushi is prepared with an ability to bring out the taste in ways that left us marveling at every bite. Every single thing we ordered - the fish, the vegetables, the seaweed salad - was exquisitely tuned to evoke delight. We all left singing the praises of this place as one of the best... More
