Check prices when you order, and again before you hand them your card, the amount they overcharge may shock you. If they make a 'mistake', expect denial, rudeness and the owner to come out and shout at you. The tuna was old, the vegetables limp, the bread greasy. The floors and tables are not clean. Oh, and expect the order... More

Amazing bakery, wonderful ambiance, delicious sandwiches, but all at a premium price. The only drawback here is how expensive it is. Occasionally I would treat myself to a lunch here and I would walk away with a delicious sandwich and a coffee, and $15 less in my pocket.

Everything i have ever had here is scrumptious!! From the amazing variety of fabulous hand crafted with love breads, to the creative and oh so yummy desserts, to the huge[ easily big enough for two] sandwiches. This is wonderful food made with beautiful fresh ingredients, by people who love food!!! You can't go wrong here.

We enjoyed our breakfast/lunch at the Hi-Rise, but were disappointed that they were out of several menu items (including something basic like fruit, which was supposed to accompany some of the breakfasts or be part of the breakfasts). The food we did order was delicious and the location was quite convenient, but several of us made secondary choices because of... More

Great atmosphere, fabulous coffee and delicious pastries! Don't miss the apricot filled brioche or the small egg sandwiches by the counter...can't wait to go back!

Simply scrumptious, no other way to describe their sandwiches. Very pricey, but each sandwich is big enough to feed two. And if you are in a hurry and the place is crowded?, forget it. Good food cannot be rushed, so be prepared too wait a while. I cannot recommend it highly enough.

Really good bread, cappuccino, and baked goods. The lemonade is good. Ask for no ice since they really load up on the ice. It costs an extra buck for no ice but totally worth it. Tip: ask for countertop sandwich.

The bread and pastry is out of this world. Prices are a bit high and at the main store/bakery some of the staff has an "attitude." But still, we love what they produce. And eat (too) much of it!!! Sandwiches and take-out are good.

The popularity of Hi-Rise continues to puzzle me. Their bread is okay at best. Sandwiches are decent, if expensive. But their other items (cookies, brioche, sweet breads, etc.) are a consistent disappointment. There's very little quality control -- things are often over-baked and dry. Service is full of attitude. The success of Hi-Rise seems to come down to location, certainly... More

I love the hi-rise. People complain that it's overpriced... well, maybe a bit so. But the food is great, and the prices aren't anywhere near what this quality of food would be in a fancy-schmancy restaurant, so - get over it, folks. Though I do enjoy their salads and sandwiches, what I keep coming back for, and dream about, is... More
