Fun place

My boyfriend had been here a few times when he spent a summer at Harvard. Said we had to go! Definitely wasn't a let down. Busy place on the weekend, good service, great selection. I love Mexican/creole food and drinks. Definitely will go back

30 years ago the Border was cheap and OK; now it's just a chore to go in there and NG! More recently, I waited and waited for a glass of water, my drink glass was cracked. Then, I waited and waited... and left for another place after about 20 minutes. They also did something to the nachos; used to taste... More

The restaurant has a strange combination of Mexican and Cajun cuisine, but all I've ever tried during several visits through the years is the Mexican food. It's good, basic Tex-Mex at reasonable prices in a large, fun setting for customers of all ages. I've been with friends and with family, and had a good time and good food every time.... More

Have been here many times. Always great food and great service. Restaurant can get very crowded and loud. Go early if you want a quieter experience.

Three words for you: French Quarter Chicken. The most succulent and tasty chicken dish known to the human world or at least the world around Cambridge and Boston. Been to Border Cafe several times and recently went with a large group and there was no disappointment just culinary bliss from the tortilla chips and salsa to the popcorn shrimp to... More

The food was great and the menu was a unique blend of Mexican and Cajun cuisine. The portions were mammoth for the price. So, go hungry or expect to take a doggie bag with you. Our waiter was fantastic and was very attentive. Their tortilla chips they bring to the table were fresh and hot! Very fun and festive atmosphere... More

After a "just for fun" visit to tour the Harvard campus, we popped into this Tex-Mex-Cajun place for lunch with the kids. We were expecting high prices and small portions given the area, but found we all received mounds of food, bottomless chips and salsa, endlessly refilled sodas by our attentive server, and moderate to downright low prices. I wasn't... More

The food here is neither fancy nor authentic, but it's pretty decent. I've had a few things that were pretty tasty..the fajitas and seafood enchiladas in particular, but he real draw here is that its a lively restaurant with freshly fried chips and salsa and great (big) margaritas made any which way you like them. As long as you know... More

This is a great Mexican restaurant that is obviously well run. It has a fun atmosphere, with great ambiance, colored lights and warm woods...it felt like a real Mexican fiesta inside. (My only change would be to turn down the music just a notch...it's a bit loud so diners have to talk loud....) We had an amazingly attentive waitress and... More
