Ole provides a welcome alternative to the standard variety of Mexican fare. The standard fare (e.g., taco's, enchilada's) is indeed available here, but the ingredients are decidedly non-standard (e.g., chunks of nicely seasoned braised meat, fresh vegetables). The menu also includes a rotating array of upscale Mexican fare (e.g., grilled halibut with roasted poblano sauce). On our most recent of... More

Not your usual Mexican put-together dishes and menu. Each item has a polish and rich flavor that makes you re-think what American Mexican can be. (The waiter mentioned what province/department the cuisine is based on, but I've forgotten what he said--Oaxaca?) They call themselves "casualy upscale," which is correct. Place is a little dark and squashed, but it's possible to... More

This place easily has the best and freshest guacamole around. Made right in front of you with the freshest ingredients. The margaritas are strong and flavorful. A bit pricey, but worth it.

A friend recommended this place and we enjoyed every bit. Everything was made fresh. The Guacamole was made right in front of us!! We ordered mussels and another appetizer. Both were tasty and delish! I ordered pork Enchiladas! So good! My husband ordered Halibut! He loved it. The plate was practically licked cleaned. My daughter ordered some steak thing with... More

Took my daughters and some friends there for dinner last week. It seemed, to me, the menu was limited. Perhaps when the thought of Mexican cuisine comes to mind there are many dishes one can think of. The wait staff was very friendly and he knew the menu. My daughters were familiar with the place and insisted we go there.... More

While looking for a place to eat, we found this little gem, right off Main St. in Cambridge. Don't blink because you'll miss it. The place was semi-packed, even though we got there late on a friday night. We did get a nice window side table, and immediately our waiter brought us a basket of tortillas and some salsa. This... We visited Ole's take-out (across the street) for lunch. Just two people working (and it was busy). We were greeted with warm smiles and prompt service. We order one each of all the tacos and the fresh tortilla chips and salsa. The BAJA SHRIMP taco is fabulous!! All the ingredients were fresh and oh so tasty (even the salsa for... More

I've been to Ole for dinner, for drinks at the bar, for brunch—whatever the occasion, it feels like a special treat. This is Mexican food that is a cut above the typical fare. Expect innovative dishes and a margarita menu to match. Don't miss the guacamole, which is made to order at the table (but expect to have too much... More

What a delightful brunch! The ambiance in this little gem is bright and cheerful. All three of us had the crab cakes benedict - delicious. Lots of interesting items on the menu. The coffee, with raw brown sugar, orange zest and cinnamon sticks was divine. I would definitely return.

From the outside of the building, I wasn't expecting much, although I friend said this restaurant had great food. I also found that I liked the interior, that - I guess - has been warmly redone. We were seated near the front window before the bar where there were three tables. So it felt intimate and sheltered. We had reservations... More
