Description: Rialto is a welcoming gathering place for the community and Charles Hotel guests. James Beard award-winning chef and owner Jody Adams embraces New England ingredients with regional Italian culinary traditions. Kitchen focus hops to a different region each month and features dishes like Ricotta gnocchi with sage brown butter and red kuri squash and our Grilled swordfish with Friulian bean stew, white wine braised cabbage and house cured bacon. Patrons enter the restaurant via a white stone path inspired by an ancient Roman road, passing by the illuminated onyx bar into the dining room. Curved banquettes and cozy nooks invite intimate conversation while pumpkin, olive and white draperies evoke the warm colors of the Italian countryside. In 2009, Rialto opened a 28-seat terrace offering guests an al fresco dining option. The Boston Globe awarded Rialto a coveted four stars in three consecutive reviews and Gourmet Magazine named it one of the "World's Top Hotel Restaurants". Rialto offers two classically elegant, private spaces, ideal for wedding receptions, business meetings, recruiting events, celebratory parties, and more.

We had an exceptional meal tonight at Rialto. Every dish was beautifully prepared and cooked to perfection. baby artichokes with fava beans and mixed greens, fish chowder served with spicy aioli, crostini and parmasan, gorgeous grilled halibut and bucatini with lobster and tomatoes. two hours later, my mouth still waters thinking about it. The service was outstanding. the tuscan bread... More

Tried several small dishes and one entree between the two of us. Raw local oysters were great, but roasted ones were warmed, but still had raw texture. The wine list was such that either you pay too much for a grocery store variety, or pony up alot more for what was a good selection of domestic and Italian reds and... More

Took my wife here for valentine's day - have been here several times before - and the meal was amazing! Everything was cooked to perfection and the server was quick, witty and very knowledgeable about the entire menu. Definitely don't want to miss this place - make a reservation early because it can get busy. Also, it can get loud... More

as my husband said upon signing our check for dinner, "another one bites the dust". very well put i would have to say. as patrons who have long enjoyed ms. adams' culinary talents, we were so disappointed by the incredible spiral downward rialto has clearly taken since our last visit. from start to finish, last evening's experience left little to... When looking at their menu, I wasn't too excited. However, every dish that was brought to our table was phenomenal. The flavors were perfectly harmonized and amazingly concocted. My dinner partner had an amazing appetizer of La Quince aged ham antipasto. The ham, figs, and cheese all blended perfectly in your mouth. My Sweet Corn Risotto with basil puree was... More

After a really disappointing visit to Henrietta's Table across the hallway from Rialto, we decided to pay a little more and give Rialto another try – after not having been here for a year or two. Let's just say that aside from the less-than-perfect attitude of the wait staff the food was quite good. It's not cheap, but you get... More

This was our first time here. Since the dining room was fully booked, we ate at the bar, which was fine for us. We had the Teatro menu, 3 courses. The food was delicious and tasty from start to finish. The wine & cocktail selection was impressive. We loved the rolls, the squash soup, and the dessert, a reimagined carrot... More

Friends and I have done New Year's Eve dinner at Rialto for several years... the food is great and the atmosphere welcoming and joyous. Highly recommended.

I was recommended this restaurant by a top chef and restaurant owner in New York City. I was greatly looking forward to going to a nice, well reviewed restaurant with my out of town friend. However, the experience we got was underwhelming. The restaurant itself looks very nice and we were greater by a very friendly and welcoming hostess. Our... More

4 of us met for drinks at 6pm - way before the crowds. Our waitress disappeared (well, she was near the bar deep in conversation but even when we asked another waiter to get her, she didn't come) after she brought our first round of drinks. We had ordered 5 small plates, 3 of which came while the other 2... More
