I can't remember the last time I had such good food in a restaurant. Anywhere... I did two meze, the lamb grape leaf tart which was excellent, and the calamari saganaki which was not what I expected, but it was still good. The chicken dinner (forget what is called) is probably top 3 chickens I have... read more

Oleana is an amazing restaurant serving Turkish-influenced, Italian-influenced Mediterranean food and the brain child of incredible chef Ana Sortun. Spice is the key here (and more than likely why Chef Sortun titled her cookbook, "Spice"!) The atmosphere is lovely but not at all stuffy and, in the warmer months, you can sit outside in the lovely garden space. Best way... More

Most of my friends and family know I love to eat out. I wouldn't necessarily call myself a "foodie" but I do love food. All kinds. Oleana serves one of my favorite cuisines - Mediterranean food. Just like many restaurants in Cambridge, Oleana uses fresh, local ingredients. Everything they serve is just exquisite. We recently took my parents-in-law to this... More

All in all a nice experience. We went here to celebrate a birthday and had a romantic meal. Good service and tasty food. So why less than five stars? The place is incredibly expensive. For the money we spent we could've had our pick of Boston's best restaurants. Only an average value proposition....

My mother and I were treated to a early Mother's Day dinner at Oleana. We were impressed from the time we arrived until we left. The service was superb! Our servers were attentive and very patient with all our questions. We decided to start with sangria and 4 mezes. After reading reviews on line we decided on fried cauliflower, spinach... More

My wife and I had the chef's 5 course tasting menu, and they added in a free dessert in honor of my wife's birthday. The food was eclectic Mediterranean, the ingredients seemed very fresh and overall each dish was extremely tasty but not over the top. Each course flowed wonderfully from the previous one into the next, which is ideal.... More

I've had great meals at Oleana but the trend has been ominously downward. On my most recent visit, Fried Artichokes lacked flavor. Spinach Falafel was also tasteless (and gummy). Spicy Fideos were barely hot either temperature- or spicyness-wise. Sultan's Delight was very tasty but nearly lukewarm by the time it reached the table. Coconut ice cream was weirdly salty. A... Came here for dinner with colleagues and there were so many delicious options on the menu that we couldn't decide on just one! We ordered almost every appetizer and one entree to split between 5 of us. My favorites included the pea pancakes (special), hummus, cigars, and yogurt dip. The lemon chicken was cooked to perfection. Dessert was spectacular and... More

I have to say, someone suggested I go here and didn't know what to expect. I was not expecting to be blown away with how delicious the food was. I had the mussels for dinner- absolutely delicious; and the lemon posset for dessert. I was surprised both times by the quality and taste. Very delicious.

Oleana is a good neighborhood restaurant with too many pretenses. I assume that you pay for these pretenses because similar food may be found in local ethnic restaurants at reasonable prices. The quality of the experience will improve, If the managers drop the pretenses and try to improve the ambiance of their little place.
