Barbecue and Seafood

We now know why this place has been around for decades. We had good food and good service. It was bustling even at 6 p.m. on a Saturday night. The menu was short but each of us (4) found something good and different, mostly barbecue variations and one seafood. I had the Boston Bay jerk ribs... read more

We've had many amazing meals there for many years, friendly staff, best fish on the East Coast! and the most amazing vegetarian platter. They will be sorely missed.

We wanted one last sentimental journey to the East Coast Grill before it closes later this month. (We don't live in Cambridge, but we've enjoyed this place as visitors over the years.) It wasn't really worth it. As ShelleyM pointed out, the ribs were tough, and they weren't really smoky. The grilled garlic bread was greasy, though the roasted garlic... More

Oyster lovers will be happy here. The oysters were delicious! Rib lovers will be disappointed. The meat is not tender. They have what are called "damn good fries" which do no not live up to the expectation the name sets, nor does the @real key lime pie".

Make a reservation early! Had dinner here on a very busy Saturday night & we had to take a reservation later than we wanted but so worth it! Very casual atmosphere and parking can be difficult. Once seated, we had a selection of raw oysters & a grilled oyster appetizer ..all good! I had the shrimp & grits that was... More

Being a foodie from Dallas, Texas and having excellent restaurants, we have high standards. First time here and all of us had great meals! The grilled endive salad with pears and crispy goat cheese was fabulous. We got the grilled focaccia bread with a baked garlic bulb, the tuna entree was seared perfectly and so incredibly flavorful. The shrimp and... More

I've been here a few times, always with a group and it's always been an amazing time. They're stellar with service, the food is excellently prepared and beautifully plated, and honestly, the staff is always upbeat and happy. The bar is spot on and I've never had a bad mix there.

This has always been one of our favorites for many years; special foods, Carribean, barbecue, etc. but we never went to Hell Night until this week. For the uninitiated this is a special menu emphasizing very spicy foods; some behind description. There is a wimp menu for those who choose to spare their bodies the discomfort but for those of... Fantastic taste and presentation! Great choices for Fish! Nice environment. Wonderful location and next door to a the best Ice cream in Boston. This place only has two problems: too expensive and the parking across st is very limited.

Warm welcome, high energy atmosphere and great, down-to-earth food. Grilled scallops were pure heaven on earth. My dinner companions offered equal rave for their dishes. Book early. This place is popular
