Description: East Coast Grill brings high level big, bold flavors with live fire grilled seafood and Low n' Slow BBQ in a fun casual atmosphere. Highlighted by its open kitchen, full raw bar and funky decor; it is a corner stone of the Greater Boston dinner for over 25 years!! The theory here is that the closer one gets to the equator, the more flavor there is in the food. Expect the chile-fueled heat of the Caribbean, the grill-savvy of Latin American cuisine, and the dynamism of Asia when you order from the regionally inspired menu. Bloody Mary brunch. North Carolina-style pulled pork or the spice-rubbed mahi mahi with pineapple s

I went there because I saw the restaurant featured on the Man v. Food show. I was excited to try the spicy challenge but was saddened to learn that they do not have the challenge anymore due to people getting sick. My boyfriend and I made up our own challenge using some of their Ghost and Hell sauces. The staff... More

We had tried to eat at East Coast Grill on earlier family trip to Boston/Cambridge that didn't gel, but this time it worked out perfectly. Interesting space when you walk in, and as family got seated in the funky Volcano Lounge while I was parking car, I didn't find them right away (just around corner). Good drink menu, spicy pickle... Go for brunch or lunch, because dinner is a bit overpriced. Don't get me wrong, the food for all three is great but it'd be nice to be able to spend under $20 for a dinner entre here.

I recently ate here with a friend while visiting Boston. It was delicious! We had lunch on a Saturday and it was a bit crowded, but well worth it. We started with oysters & a trip to the bloody mary bar. The bloody mary bar is impressive and full of the most options I have ever seen. We both ordered... More

The food here is pretty good. The drink prices are fair, and the service is great. All of this would garner a higher rating were it not that the noise level was a fairly constant 98db during our entire visit. My hosts insisted this place was ne plus ultra, so I played along. However, I will never return owing only... More

Ate here a few weeks ago per the recommendation of a friend. We went on a Friday night around 6:30-7. Arrived to find two seats at the bar in a very crowded restaurant so we snagged them. My friend and I shared some (6) oysters -- I figured they'd be pretty great since Cambridge is close to the ocean, but... More

Once our favorite restaurant in the world, East Coast Grille was very disappointing. Last November we went there for the first time in about ten years. My husband was served the wrong ribs which turned out to be so hot/spicy that he nearly passed out. The waitress just laughed and said that they often have to call an ambulance. Thinking... More

We were a party of ten for Easter brunch. We asked our waiter (at the outset) to divide our bill into three separate checks. He said it all had to be on one check. This made things difficult as some people ordered several drinks. He offered no explanation as to why this couldn't be done. I ordered an omelette and... More

Was happy we made a brunch reservation for four through Open Table - arrived a few minutes before opening and had to wait in line outside. but once we were inside, the service and food both made us glad we waited. Prices appeared a bit high, but forgot about that when my black&blue fish tacos arrived. The catfish reuben needed... More

It is the kind of place you can make a lot of noise and not feel self conscious, wouldn't recommend it to take a romantic date or grandma, but its fun and boisterous and great for a group of friends. The seafood, was good - well prepared and tasty. I'm a big fan of Island Creek oysters. Key Lime pie... More
