Charm place with fireplace, excellent food

I have been to this restaurant several times, it has a charm fireplace where you can enjoy your dinner or lunch warming up from the cold Boston weather... The food is really good, they have many delicious dishes with lobster and their pasta is ''al dente'', rare thing to find in US!!

We had a dinner at The Red House, and we loved. We ordered lobster chowder, very flavoured and well served, and lobster carbonara linguini. For desert, canolli with pistacchio. The ambient and service are also is very good. They asked for reservation.

I went here with my wife and enjoyed some appetizers and a couple of drinks, the waiter was very friendlyand the food was very good. Theres a nice fireplace inside during the winter and they have outdoor seating for the warmer occasions, I definitely recommend going here, specially at night.

I took my spouse here for his birthday. Our server was very attentive. The restaurant was fairly quiet (it was a Tuesday night), but it was nice to have the place mostly to ourselves. I'm not a love of olives, but their in-house brined assortment was complementary and I really liked them. The brussels sprouts and bacon fritter appetizer -... More

This was an event to remember. I met a long-lost cousin at the Red House. Perfect setting for this! Intimate, friendly, warm on a frigid afternoon in Cambridge, and a cute little menu that they said specialized in oysters. Confusing here, as the waitress said the oysters were 2 for $1 if you ordered a dozen. $6 for a dozen... More

We had a family memorial dinner at the Red House and the staff and food were wonderful. The location is convenient and parking is available in the many garages around the area. Our server, was FABULOUS. Our private room had a cozy fireplace with other fireplaces spaced around the restaurant. The food was well prepared but the tiramisu had too much... More

Really great atmosphere! Food and service were both great, they have local beer on tap. I enjoyed the lobster ravioli and am going back tomorrow to something else. Stop by, you will not be disappointed

On a side street in Harvard Square. Convenient. In winter a warm fire in one of the rooms of this old building. In the summer tables on the outside deck. Always relaxing.Food good, not great. Waitstaff helpful. I live in the neighborhood and go the Red House often.

The Red House is a great place for lunch. Nice homey atmosphere with a wood fire going in the front room and a skylight in the back room. Lobster chowder was excellent. Oysters were a real value at $0.50 each.

I really wanted to like the Red House. It's in a convenient place, and if you go when it isn't crowded (as we did, for an early lunch), it's possible to have a peaceful conversation. The staff were perfectly OK. But that's it. The oysters were very inexpensive, a loss leader at $.50 each, so the fact that they came... More
