Service was outstanding and it's clear how much thought has gone into the entire experience at Craigie on Main, yet our dinner fell short of expectations--surprisingly all due to the food. Maybe we caught the kitchen at an off night, but we found several of the dishes lacked the intensity of flavor and complexity of textures we expected. Problems surfaced... More

Most importantly: make reservations! If you're a fan of the Food Network and watching brilliant action, ask for the "Chef's table" where you can observe the magic of Chef de Cuisine, Carl Dooley, unfold. I only know the names because this was my second visit and I was intrigued with talent and skill… Perry and Chris handled the sous chef... More

Consistently amazing vittles come fast and fabulous out of this first rate kitchen. Too pre-occupied for the tasting menu, we opted for three courses of total bliss. We were four, and each had something different for starters, mains and desserts so we sampled a lot of what's on offer. Total hits all! From a delicate, perfectly poached egg on a... More

We were not that hungry so we each got a first and main course off the menu. We had the octopus, which was very tender, the pig tail and 3 "pig 3 ways". Not a lot of food. The pork loin was a little blend, pork belly was nice, i wish the rib had more fat on it. Both my... More

I had a great sunday brunch at craigie. Ordered the burger which was absolutely delicious. All the guests at the restaurant were also given a complimentary chocolate covered doughnut ball which was melt in the mouth. I also heard the guests next to me complementing the dishes they had. Would definitely return and for $17 at a fantastic restaurant, brunch... More

Mixed feelings after eating at Craigie, had the roast chicken for two as raved on food TV to see how good a roast chicken could be, turns out it's still just roast chicken. The entree was underwhelming after two stellar appetizers and a top shelf bar service with tremendously executed drinks. I'd skip the entree, have a seat at the... More

Don't get me wrong. You'll eat a decent meal here, but you'll pay too much for it. The presentation is rather pretentious. I enjoyed the fried Essex clams as an appetizer. The chef has really managed to re-invent the clam as a luscious and succulent dish, served with an excellent brown sauce (just a dollop of it, however, so you'll... More

I went to Boston last November, and had meant to review this restaurant, but of course, time got the best of me. Even though it was several months ago, I still remember the meal - it was that lovely. My friend and I had the "chef's whim", which ended up being 8 courses, and I still have the card they... More

The food is really amazing and there is a nice wine chart, but the ambient a little bit formal, I would enjoy more a less formal place.
