The cocktails were very good, try an old fashioned. The lighting is dim and the restaurant features brick walls, leather booths and hardwood chairs. The atmosphere feels old and upscale. Perfect for a date. They also own Park and the Russell House Tavern, and like those restaurants the food is very good. We had the charcuterie to start and pork... More

Went for st valentines and we got undercooked and cold rib eye that seemed more like another kind of meat. Wife woke up at 3am to literally toss her cookies (that is why i am writing this). Wine pairing was also mediocre. Many better choices close by with regards to food!

Maybe it's because my name is Keyser and that is cognate with Caesar, but I take how well a restaurant does a caesar salad as the best indicator of everything else. Temple Bar has one of the best caesar's, bar none, in the Cambridge area. The noise level is in the "energetic" zone of the meter. That is par for... More

Nice atmosphere, however way over-priced. It's glorified pub food, mediocre service with a big price tag. There are plenty of other places in the area that are a much better value for what you get.

chose Temple Bar as our place to hang on New Years Eve. Was with another couple and the four of us snagged seats at the bar. It was a great spot, the bartenders were super friendly and attentive. The food looked great and I would like to go back and check out the dinner menu. I would highly recommend this... More

My husband and I met up with another couple for dinner to wish them well on their upcoming move abroad. We had a reservation for 7pm and were seated right away. The restaurant was pretty quiet for New Year's Day. The menu had a nice selection of options in terms of both food and alcohol. We ordered the calamari appetizer... More

This is our No. 1 neighborhood go-to restaurant. We always order the same thing: hamburger, medium rare with pommes frittes and a caesar salad. The hamburger is excellent. The caesar salad is the best we've had. Wait staff couldn't be nicer and the beer selection will get you through the even with a low-flying buzz. We have eaten here more... More

My husband and I had dinner here while visiting Cambridge last week, mainly for convenience--it was just a couple of blocks from the inn where we were staying. It's a pleasant setting, and it feels like a neighborhood hangout in an upscale but still casual way. The staff was friendly and welcoming, and service was efficient. The food was mostly... More

My husband and I were in Cambridge this summer and quickly found Temple Bar within walking distance of our inn. It was very attractive and the menu was what we wanted. Our first night 's dinner was good but not fabulous but the next night we had a wonderful meal. Our salad was delicious and the sliders were amazing! The... More

This is a typical Cambridge hipster bar/restaurant. My daughter gos here quite often and it is a favorite of hers as she is vegetarian and they have a large selection of vegetarian dishes. I had a manhattan to start which was good, not great. There was a bit too much sweet vermouth even though I asked for "light on the... More
