I was shocked by the recent negative reviews of this restaurant so I felt compelled to share my experience eating at this restaurant last night. My husband and I had one of the most amazing meals at Salts last night. This is a small restaurant owned by a couple, he is the chef, she is front of the house. Annalia... More

This restaurant scored poorly in every category. The food was either overly seasoned with salt and garlic or not seasoned enough. Sauces were too thick or too watery with globules of oil floating about. Service was unprofessional. One waiter tried to hide blood from a cut on his hand that had smeared onto the cork of our wine. Prices were... More

Was traveling for work, and my colleague and I decided to opt for a nice dining experience on one of the nights. The restaurant itself is quite small in size but we did not have an issue getting a table, as even without a reservation, we were seated immediately. The food was excellent and tasty.

We found the food a little precious, with presentation and originality outpacing taste. Not to mention that the portions are representative of the nouvelle cuisine movement of a few years back. At those prices, I would expect more taste.

My husband and I recently ate at Salts for the first time to celebrate our 20th anniversary. We have had the good fortune to experience many fine anniversary dinners in various parts of the world, but our meal at Salts will be one of our most memorable. First and foremost, the food was simply exquisite, simply being the key word... More

We decided to try to get a reservation at this restaurant at the last minute when we were in Cambridge for Parents Weekend... sadly, it was totally booked when we tried a week ahead. Sometimes you just get lucky! The atmosphere was lovely- beautifully elegant interior, beautiful lighting, comfortable seating. The service was perfectly done, with our charming hostess offering... My husband, daughter and I visited from out of state last weekend with my son for his birthday. He lives in the North End and had heard Salts was very good It did not disappoint. I had looked on-line so I knew that it was a smaller restaurant and that the tables were close together. The lighting in some pictures... More

2nd time we've eaten here... it was a homerun both times thus prompting my review. Setting & decor: Nice intimate setting - some might find the tables a tiny bit too close but it was not a bother for us. There are about 15 tables in a single room that looks like it may have previously been a residence. There... More

Excellent food in a smaller but elegant environment, professional and attentive services. The seafood was spectacular (incredible scallops appetizer), the duck also excellent (enough for 2 and even a meal afterwards). Strong wine list with nice price range and knowledgeable staff.we even found parking around the corner (Friday might at 7)

My parents have *very* high standards for dining (exhaustingly so!) so it's hard to find good places to take them when they visit. But our recent trip to Salts was an absolute winner. It looks unpromising from the outside (they should seriously work on the decor) but inside it's quiet and relaxing and fairly upscale. However, you come here for... More
