We just had our son's 30th birthday party at Atwood's. It was the easiest, most fantastic party ever. We began with cocktails and appetizers on the patio. The patio is a beautiful, private oasis. Fish tacos, sliders, crab cakes, chicken skewers were passed. We brought our own cake which was cut and served. Music started inside around 10:30. The entire... More

A few former co-workers decided to meet here on a Friday night. Due to the very limited amount of seats, we waited 30 minutes for a table. From what we could tell, part of the slowness in service was due to the limited amount of staff. With only 2 bartenders, and 2 waitresses running around trying to keep 80+ people... More

Was so excited to get a Maine Beer beer and my expectations were met, not only by the beer but by the food as well; the braised beef spatzel was amazing!

I met some co-workers here for dinner and drinks. We sat outside in the patio area and is was great. The staff is attentive and friendly. The food is really really good! The fish tacos are amazing along with the muscles app. Lots to choose from for drinks. This is a great place to hang out and catch up with... More

We went right around 5ish and it was already packed with one or two tables open. But when we walked in there was not hostess so we lost one table by the entrance but then we flagged a waiter and sat us right away. The food was excellent and plenty of it. I'm still full just thinking about it. I... More

All the great things I heard about Atwood's are true. A great selection of beers including many local brewers just getting started. A very difficult decision to limit it to 2 or 3. The New Orleans Fish Stew was really well done, brimming with seafood and rice. It had a really nice bite to it but not overwhelming. I would... More

Atwood's features a variety of appetizers and main dishes, and a large number of beers. The main attraction for me was the "psycho-bluegrass" band playing during dinner. Featuring mandolin, upright bass, guitar, and banjo, the band played a variety of uptempo bluegrass classics along with some other songs (such as "Foxy Lady") with a bluegrass twist. Another band was setting... More

You walk inside out of the chilly streets of Cambridge and immediately feel the warmth. The bar and tables are all a warm, honey brown wood that just feels good when you see it. I met up with a friend and we were quickly greeted and allowed to choose whatever table we liked. Service is friendly but never pushy. After... More

We were looking at the menu outside Atwood's when a passerby said 'Go there, it's brilliant' - so we did. That night and the following night! The food was really good, generous helpings, original and quite delicious. Service also very attentive. Additional bonus was the music - the blue grass band sat in a circle in the middle of the... We stopped into this low-key East Cambridge spot on a Saturday for lunch. There was a small group there, evidently a few regulars and a few others like us, looking for a quick nosh. They have a nice selection of brews on tap as well as a good assortment of bottles and a full bar. We tried the grass-fed beef... More
