Excellent coffee and a unique, refreshing menu

With plenty o' Starbucks to choose from, I was glad to find an independent coffee shop with a unique sandwich and salad menu. I have never had a Sweet Potato Sandwich before, but it was on top of the menu, so I assumed it was their best. I was not disappointed. Sweet potato, apple, avocado... read more

As a very fussy coffee drinker I was delighted to discover this place for my daily coffee fix while staying in Harvard. Best cappuccino in Boston!

We had a breakfast here, the staff was nice and the croissant was delicious but their coffee was one of the worse I had nowadays, too strong taste like over-roasted.

Absolutely superb quality coffee here. Proper preparation, proper temp, proper ingredients. In addition to great espresso drinks, the cafe also features some delicious pastries, sandwiches, and other light food fare. What makes this place great is the service that comes on top of it all. Working in town for a week and I'll skip all other cafes to come here.... More

If you are looking for quality coffee, particularly espresso based coffee (capuccino, latte, cortados, etc) this place has a great espressp machines (La Marzocco) and quality baristas. They serve mostly George Howell roasted coffee, but I believe they have coffee from other roasteries as well. The brewed coffee was not as good as the espresso, however. I guess since lines... More

A small cafeteria of about 50 square meters at Harvard Square. Recommended for a quick lunch or an afternoon coffee if you´re going to Harvard and passing by, it is the perfect place to stop in and enjoy a coffee. I recommend the grilled cheese sandwich, delicious! Good prices.

Another cafe I visited more than once while doing my fellowship at the Harvard Medical School, was Crema Cafe. First I came alone then when my husband revisited me, I took him here to brag about the newfound gem near Harvard Sq. I tried some sweet cakes & cafe latte on my first visit but on my second visit I... More

Stumbled upon Crema Cafe while walking in Harvard Square. Shared a pesto chicken sandwich with sweet potato chips and it was delicious. Really good slaw in sandwich and brioche bun was grilled and really good. Looked like a good place for coffee, too.

There's a reason for the line at Crema. They serve the best coffee around, along with a great selection of pastries and baked goods. The atmosphere in the restaurant is great too. They request a minimum $10 purchase for credit cards, and encourage you to pay with cash to keep money in the local business.

They have delicious pastries, breakfast sandwiches, and drinks! What more could you ask for? It's a little small, but it is a nice place to meet a friend, especially for breakfast :)
