Intimate, warm atmosphere near Harvard Square

4 of us had a peaceful, cozy dinner. The appetizers were interesting and good. The chicken was tender and tasty. The steak was a bit tough. The fries were delicious and enjoyed by all. We would go back.

There were about forty of us, the maximum number this lovely little restaurant can hold, for a family gathering. They opened for lunch specifically to serve us for which we are very thankful. The luncheon was a nice assortment of farm-to-table meats and cheeses, with a couple of salads to choose from. The menu board gave us the name of... More

My review is unusual in that the restaurant opened earlier in the day to provide a luncheon/brunch for a private party of 45 guests. (They do not usually open for lunch). The food and service were superb. The restaurant is perfect for this size group as it felt intimate and we didn't have to share the space with other luncheon... More

We had a pleasant evening meal last week-end at Ten Tables near Harvard Square. Our meals were very good, and special kudos for the Green Garlic Veloute appetizer, and the line-caught Atlantic Halibut entree. The restaurant occupies the basement of an apartment building, which confers a dimly lighted and somewhat cramped ambiance. In fairness, Mrs. Gyr considered the atmosphere "cozy".... More

We went to the monthly tasting menu dinner with wine pairings included for just $49 per person. It was a great value with excellent food and interesting wines. The portions were relatively large and we left stuffed. The restaurant is in a residential neighborhood, in the basement of an apartment building in Cambridge. Easy walk from Harvard Square.

Just went to Ten Tables for dinner with family. Had the lobster appetizer (don't remember the fancy name they gave it) which was quite tasty and the roasted chicken which was also nice but nothing really special. Spent $300 in 5 with no wine (3 beers) and 3 desserts. My nephew had the steak which he described as tough and... More

About a 10 minute walk from Harvard Square is food that is miles away from student fare. Duck marrow dumplings, a medley of duck -- breast, homemade sausage, egg, thyme biscuit. Don't worry, many other non-duck offerings. An excellent, wine list -- not cheap, but well selected and not just the usual suspects. Of course it's farm to table. Service... More

While visiting Cambridge/Boston for our 25th Wedding Anniversary, I found this place online though reviews and decided to give it a try. It was about a 18.00 cab ride from the Royal Sonesta where we were staying The restaurant is in a residential area and is in the basement of what looks to be an apartment or condo building. The... The dimly lit, kind of romantic restaurant was very quiet this past Thursday with only 2-3 tables filled. We got our pick of ‘coupley’ tables so decided on one in the corner towards the front of the restaurant. I feel our waiter almost had a sixth sense with regards to what our likes would be for wine and immediately started... More
