Wow! Breakfast, luck and brunch with a difference

I keep going back to this place. It's an Armenian cafe with a great range of foods, many of which I've never seen before - i.e.not just yoghurt and falafel. The sit-in area is rather cramped, never stayed for a meal, but have been doing take-outs for a while now. A bit on the expensive side - for the neighborhood - but the baked goods are good indeed. Sofra's version of creme brulee is great, as is the lamb pie on the savory side. In fact all of the things... More

I stopped by for a quick bite as I had just finished up with an appointment next door. I live approx 1 hour away and don't know of many places where I could go on a nice warm afternoon and sit outside. The atmosphere is pleasant with vibrant colors and limited outdoor seating. I'm a sucker for great customer service,... More

Mezze are delicious, varied and a good healthy lunch option... Shakshuka is one of my brunch favorites, although it could have been a bit more fully-simmered on my last visit. Still one of my tops in Boston/Cambridge!

Sofra is a modernist take on middle-eastern food, but taken to an entirely new level. Their lamb shwarma is two delicate roles of crispy, thin pastry, with delicate seasoning. It's served with whipped garlic sauce (but not too garlicky) and pickled cabbage. Baklava to die for, but lighter than the usual. I was there a while ago for breakfast, which... More

Tried the kunefe, which I've had at other bakeries and restaurants several times. The dessert was cold and therefore the traditional cheese filling was not the gooey consistency it should be, nor was the cheese itself tasty. I tried the apricot halwa previously here and left equally disappointed.

It's one of the best mezze plates because you actually get to choose the 5 items that go on it! Additionally, you can choose bread or lavash crackers. The last time I was there, we ordered creamy labne, beet tzatziki (my favorite!), Moroccan style carrot salad, cauliflower and currant tabbouleh (my favorite), and squash skordalia with pumpkin seeds (wait, my... The cramped layout is easily forgiven once you've tasted the lovely food items on the menu. We enjoyed the cheese tobek and the chicken shawarma as well as a delicious bird's nest for dessert. I can't wait to go back and try some of the other interesting offerings.

See and be seen, and eat what the beautiful people are eating. It ain't cheap, but it sure is good. Breakfast to late afternoon. Middle Eastern theme. Cooking classes. If you're a guy, stop by and pick up something for your gal. You will certainly make points.

I've been here a fare share. Food is so-so, hot food always too salty. Safest bet for consistency is the Mezze bar, best on the menu. The drinks are amazing. This is why I come back. Please though change the set-up. It's quite awkward to shuffle around the store when there are more than a few people. Seats are cool,... More
