Unusual and tasty food

Sofra is a cute little place with fusion Turkish-Western food. It has real charm, and the food is really intriguing. I have eaten (or perhaps noshed is more the word) there a number of times and always been pleased. The sausage pita was particularly good, but on the whole the drinks and odd... read more

Chef Ana Sortun's little eastern Mediterranean cuisine empire in the Boston area is amazing. Sofra is the most casual, and is mostly takeout oriented, but does have some very limited and coveted seats. With that said, if you don't live close enough to do takeout, this place is still worth going to as the food is excellent, from savory to... More

We were driving by and saw this funky little place with a cool exterior and had to check it out. It was lunch-time and the place was packed. Safra has a walk-up counter and there seem to be a lot of people hustling about in the back. There was a large menu full of things that I had never heard... More

Great food, very crowded, always a long wait. Help isn't always very friendly. Parking is a problem too.

Great spot on the outskirts of Cambridge. Delicious and inventive food without being overly fussy. There is always a line but worth the wait. Take a walk through Mount Auburn Cemetery across the street and then stop in at Sofra for some treats.

While spending early mornings birdwatching in Mount Auburn Cemetery, we discovered this unassuming cafe close to the gates - and what an amazing experience the food was!!! Special tastes, an amazing cuisine, dishes I will never forget. Warm and kind staff, a lovely atmosphere, and so worth the wait for this dreamy food!!!

I went there with my parents for breakfast and knew it was a mistake because my father has zero patience for waiting for food. The place was crowded with tables/seating very poorly designed and the outside way too sunny to be comfortable. The service was atrocious - it took forever to get things that were already made - pastries and... More

We have excellent Middle Eastern restaurants in my home area (SF Bay area, CA). However, after several meals at Sofra, i am so spoiled that I may not be able to return to my old favorites. I am a vegetarian and had so many choices, most of which were new to me. Everything was delicious. This is not a fancy... More

Best to go on a week day to avoid the crowds. This place has amazing food & lovely ambiance. Right now I am loving the lamb shwarma wrap the most but everything is great-- seriously, everything.

A very small place, very informal but with high quality organic Middle Eastern food. Not a place for you to go expecting to eat comfortably in a table, but instead, a place to have a coffee, or a a delicious meal in a very relaxing atmosphere. You can also buy special wines and goods in a little shop. Beware that the... More
