We were the first to arrive, at 7pm. They were gracious and welcoming. Menu is slightly different than typical Roman cuisine, but after a few days there we were ready for a change. Ambiance is loaded with intriguing antiques and other unique objects. There are at least 4 different small dining rooms. Their "house" white wine was their own label... More

Fabulous restaurant in Castel Gandolfo. We sat outside as it was a warm sunny day but after a tour of the restaurant I think it would have been far more interesting inside. Each room has a theme- we were shown the 'toy room' . The dining room table was surrounded by antique toys and pinocchios. One room was full of... More

One of the highlights of my trip to Italy was enjoying a wine tasting at Arte e Vino with Giulio! He is such a delight, with so much passion for the wines and so much knowledge! The food was also magnificent. I was so impressed with the experience that I called to arrange another tasting for some other friends that... More

Enjoyed Castel Gandolfo last Sunday for the Peach Festival and had the pleasure of meeting Giulio Mariani. Giulio gave us an amazing tour of his restaurant and wine cellar. We are looking forward to returning next week to enjoy dinner with this gracious host. (Wish I was young and single!)

Castel Gandolfo is a great day trip out of Rome and I visited with a friend living in Rome. Arte e Vino is perfectly located on the central, quaint pedestrian street and I spent hours there at an outside table, relaxing over lunch on a very sunny day with friends. The staff were extremely helpful and the food delicious. I... More

I happened to have lunch at Arte e Vino in Castel Gandolfo a bunch of times, well, every single time they get you to know some new plates of typical Roman Cuisine revisited in a very original and unique way. Perfect pairings of different flavours blending together into a somewhat which is both classic and new. Giulio and Paolo are... More

This is a great restaurant and the food is delicious. We had a table right in front of the foreplace and so felt even more warm and cosy. Whats most appealing is the unusual array of antipasti, pastas and second courses. Besides that it has quick service, helpful waiters, huge portions and reasonable prices!! We're definitly going back to taste... More

Very special restaurant with great food. And a lot of food! We were all very satisfied and full when we left. The arte e vino antipasto and beef with truffle was excellent.
