We journeyed to this restaurant from the Excel Hotel Ciampino and a taxi was ca 20e. It was well worth it tho as the pizza, pasta, sea food and steaks were amazing and deserts were superb. We were very well loked after by a waitress who used to work in London so no probs with English. I ordered a bottle... More

It's good to see that all things in the world are not in constant change -- we keep going back to La Quintessa because of its fine atmosphere and great food as well as the correct and friendly attitude of the staff.

Lacking in alternatives (in fact we only spotted one other place that was open), we resorted to La Quintessa. Foodwise, we found everything somewhat okay (nothing special, really). Yet the food was comparably... More

This is a restaurant that is beutifully decorated, with a terrace overlooking the lake and Italian food that is different for a change from the food served in most of the restaurants in the Castelli Romani. We had pasta with wild boar, porchetta and fried calamari and prawns. The roast potatoes with olives, rosmary and onions were delicious as well... More

The restaurant is local on a large lake in or near Castel Gandolfo. We had an incredibly good dinner and returned the next night with friends. While it was still good it wasn't quite as "great." My wife ordered the chicken tureen with vegetables and I had the most delicious order of clams and mussels in a tomato sauce. That... More

Such a stylish place, decorated with very good taste. Had a dinner here once and wish it wasn´t the last evening in Castel Gandolfo. Would have wanted to return there definitely. We had a dinner at the terrace. Service was very good, food was delicious and they had nice wine selection. There´s beautiful lightning on the terrace. Wish this restaurant... More
