Very good restaurant at the Blue Lagoon. We ordered the pan-seared cod with langoustine and the mussels. Delicious and very fresh! You can leave your bath robes and flip flops on while dining in the restaurant--fine dining at its best!

We visited the Blue Lagoon but did not wish to plunge into it. However as it was around lunch time, we headed towards the Lava restaurant for lunch and I must admit that once again, Icelandic restaurants managed to amaze us! It was a bit surreal at first when we walked in and were bemused to see so many people... More

I'm not sure what all the fuss of the restaurant is about. The restaurant looks like a big canteen/conference centre with guests crammed in. No atmosphere. The food is average. The langoustine set menu is way too rich. I couldn't finish my meal, I left hungry. In general, the service was average, however there was one waiter in particular who... More

Special treat while at Blue Lagoon. Food was probably the best I have ever had in my life. Presentation was "master chef standard" at least in my laymans view. Flavours were superb. Choices were great. Service first rate and cost was irrelevant given the experience John Eadington

Title says it all. I had the same, and it was very succulent. Friendly, attentive staff, with great product knowledge

We would never normally eat at a major tourist attraction but decided to eat lunch here after reading other trip advisor reviews. This was our first meal in Iceland having gone straight to the Blue Lagoon from the airport and we were very impressed with the quality of the food.A sumptuous late lunch here allowed us to check into our... Waited for ten minutes whilst the waiter finished laying up table, which he obviously thought was more important than welcoming guests. It took over and hour just to get and eat our first course, whilst there were only about a dozen table occupied. The food, in the main, was far too salty and 'a picture on a plate' rather than... I didn't expect much from a restaurant at a tourist attraction but the food and service was wonderful.

Very, very good food, service minded personell, calm and nice atmosphere. Go there and try yourself! I can really recommend the restaurant. Good to combine with the visit at Blue Lagoon.

So glad we decided to eat before we left Blue Lagoon! Possibly one of the best and most interesting meals we've ever had! Certainly finished our great day off well. Every dish was so different / interesting and beautiful xx Very, very empty plates returned. Considering overall expensive prices for everything in Iceland - this was great value Not forgetting...
