We love Charlie Parkers for breakfast which they serve all day. The servings are large and the service is usually fast even when they are really busy which most of the time, especially on Sunday mornings. Their breakfast blueberry casserole is great and they are known for their 16 inch pancakes. The lunch menu is also very good. I like... More

Recently remodeled, this place is much nicer than it used to be, but they need to clean their wall hangings! The food is basic, not great and not bad at all. The price is reasonable. The only complaint I have is that I've seen the portion sizes decrease in the last couple years. It used to be a good value.... More

Late breakfast on a icy Saturday for me found me at a Diner Drive In and Dives stop. Man was it ever worth it ! The foo was great , the staff did all but make me part of the family, the prices were good to great. I had the blueberry pancake with the breakfast horseshoe sandwich , which is... More

Really enjoyed eating breakfast with my family there this morning. A very friendly, cozy place with great food. Eating at a real diner was such a nice change from all the chain restaurants. Keep up the good work, Charlie Parkers!!

Very rural and very busy even at 1:30. I had the Charlie's Favorite chicken sandwich with cheese, bacon, onioin straws and a special sauce with a little kick in it. It was good, but I was really happy to see breaded cauliflower on the menu. I really like it and never see it anywhere any more! It was very good!... More

Off the beatin path. Not easy to get to unless someone gave you specific directions. Very bland on the outside. Parking lot crowded. All this for breakfast or lunch ? Yes and well worth it. This restaurant has been in operation since about 1991 and still there are some residents of Springfield that have never been there. Their loss! They... More

This was the 2nd restaurant on our "Horseshoe Tour" of Springfield. It was only ok. The restaurant itself was really neat, the food came fast, but was only ok. Typical eggs, typical hash browns, and most disappointingly, bland cheese sauce.

We went here for breakfast as it was a holiday and our hotel restaurant was closed! Its a bit off the beaten track and we were slightly concerned when we pulled up outside what looks like a metal hut on an industrial estate but don't be scared its certainly worth it. We had to wait outside for about 20 minutes... More

When traveling, we like to eat at local establishments rather than chain restaurants. Generally a good plan - sometimes not so much - but this was excellent. (Don't let the outside appearance of the building scare you away.) Location is obscure and in an industrial neighborhood a few miles north of I-70, but you won't be disappointed in the food.... More
