This is the third time I've been here and each time it's been ok. The interior is fun but DIRTY. The amount of dust on the neon signs and the ceiling fans was gross. The walls showed liquid and ketchup remains hadn't been wiped down. This place is busy all the time. I'm surprised they don't clean it more often/throughly... More

It's not a glamourous neighborhood (think industrial) and it's in a 40s Quonset Hut. It's small and there'll probably be a line out the door, but the tables turn quickly and it's worth the wait. It's named for Charlie Parker, nicknamed "Bird," an amazing jazz saxophone player back in the day. Clint Eastwood even made a movie about him. The... More

Down home, huge portions, gigantic pancakes. Service is swift. Place is often crowded but friendly. Eat there frequently.

What a fun experience, even though the place is small and very crowded. The blueberry breakfast casserole was phenomenal and the breakfast horseshoe was excellent. The food portions are more than enough for 2 people to share and the service and ambiance was excellent. Will definitely be back when visiting Springfield.

Finally coming through Springfield during the breakfast hours! Our timing was great and we were seated as soon as we walked in which was amazing. I had a delightful breakfast that included a platter sized blueberry pancake that was super. My husband had a breakfast horseshoe that he throughly enjoyed. Service was spectacular, always a treat to come here.

What a fun place in the middle of the industrial park. From the moment we stepped inside, we were talking non-stop. From traveling back to our childhood memories from the various records on the walls, to the wonderful, delicious and large portions of food. My husband had the breakfast shoe. He wondered if he could eat all of it, but... More

Came here for brunch after church. From the outside it doesn't look like much. When you get inside it is decorated just like a diner. There was a short wait for us, but their system that will just text message you when a table is ready I thought was fantastic. I ordered country fried steak and my wife ordered the... More

A group from work was in Springfield. We asked someone where to eat and they recommended Charlie Parkers. Decor inside is Diner style and clean. All the employees we dealt with were friendly and helpful. I figured since I was in Springfield, I would try the Horseshoe. Mine was the Pony (a smaller sized one) with a piece of white... More

We came here because it was on Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives, expecting great diner food. The food was mediocre. The horseshoes were ok--the hash browns on them were good but the fries were just regular fries, and the cheese sauce was watery. The pancakes were nothing special. But what made me very angry was the way the waitress and one... More

My traveling companion found Charlie Parkers on the web. She's a big breakfast fan, so we found the place on old Rt. 66 and went there for breakfast. It is very popular, and it was confirmed by our waitress that after Guy visited in 2007 they've had lots of business. There was a sign that said it held 96, and... More
