I love chili.

I have eaten chili al over the US and can honestly say that Joe Rogers is the best. If you can eat one bowl of the "Fir Brand" you may write your name on a poster. People from all over the world has come to Springfield to experience Joe Roger's chili. Joe has passed away but his daughter... read more

I went here for lunch while I was in the area for a day long meeting. The food was really good. I had the chili cheese dog, tamale and a pint of medium chili. The tamale was my favorite. I wish I would of been more courageous and have gotten a hotter (i.e. spicier) chili. The medium was good but... More

I am originally from Springfield and began eating Chili as a child at the Den. Now each visit home, Joe Rogers, (now called The Chili Parlor) we make a visit for this wonderful chili. Great service and great chili!!!

We have been going to Joe Rodgers for years and always make a stop when we visit Springfiled. The chili is a true original and can be as spicy or plain as you desire. Their tamales are also quite tasty. We have never been disappointed in the food but contrary to days of old, the chili and other menu items... More

Joe Rodgers is now back to the original owners daughter Marianne Rogers. The chili once again is the the very best you cab find anywhere. Give it a try when you are in town. You won't be sorry.,

The chili is good, if not terribly exciting. THe tamales are good, and not the usual tamales. Ask for a touch of hot, or you might think the chili is too bland. THe oil gives it a little heat, but don't go too crazy with it. Neat stop to make to say you've been there. THe counter staff are very... More

I think all of the proceeding post pretty well covers this place. As mentioned the chili here is one of a kind that you're not going to find anywhere else. I had eaten in this restaurant about thirty years ago and moved from the area and forgot about it. It was recently featured on Man vs. Food. Anyway I made... More

Went there recently for the second time. Originally saw it on Man v. Food and wanted to check it out. As the others have said... -Quick service. -The chili is oily and different than others you may have had, but we liked it. -It's hot. I tried the medium, and it made me sweat. They also have a mild, hot... More

Those few who wrote the chilli has no flavor must not have tastebuds! My usual is medium bowl of touch, light oil/beans w/ a tamale or hotdog. The heat is in the meat. Yes they only accept cash, is kinda costly for chilli, limited parking/hrs, but is oh so tasty & worth it!
