yum

My stomach wasn't up for the chili this particular day but I got the burger which was a crumbly loose meat burger with melted cheese. YUM ! My sister in law raved about her tamale being the best she had ever eaten. My nephews had the hot dogs which just looked like hot dogs. Fun, quick order... read more

The Chili Parlor is the current name of The Den/ Joe Roger's Chili due to legal reasons. Maryanne Rogers has restored the quality that we've known and loved in Springfield for generations. Firebrand is a little hotter than I can handle, but

What agreat place to have Chili or a Chili Dog. Very loyal local following. Owner is present just about all the time and she really knows her customers. Try the hot stuff if you like - It's called Firebrand - Be ready for heat though.

If you are a chili lover, this is a great place to try. We had heard of it on the radio in Chicago. We were in Springfield for business and thought we would stop here for lunch. What was intriguing were the levels of spiciness in the chili. We even took several pints back to Chicago, for some of the... More

I live in Chicago and made the drive down to Springfield specifically for chili from The Chili Parlor. I had been here many times before when it was under different ownership. It is now owned by the family that originally opened the Parlor. The new owner, Mary Ann and her staff are very friendly. The food and service is very... More

I have eaten chili al over the US and can honestly say that Joe Rogers is the best. If you can eat one bowl of the "Fir Brand" you may write your name on a poster. People from all over the world has come to Springfield to experience Joe Roger's chili. Joe has passed away but his daughter, Maryann has... More

I went here for lunch while I was in the area for a day long meeting. The food was really good. I had the chili cheese dog, tamale and a pint of medium chili. The tamale was my favorite. I wish I would of been more courageous and have gotten a hotter (i.e. spicier) chili. The medium was good but... More

We have been going to Joe Rodgers for years and always make a stop when we visit Springfiled. The chili is a true original and can be as spicy or plain as you desire. Their tamales are also quite tasty. We have never been disappointed in the food but contrary to days of old, the chili and other menu items... More

Joe Rodgers is now back to the original owners daughter Marianne Rogers. The chili once again is the the very best you cab find anywhere. Give it a try when you are in town. You won't be sorry.,
