Not as good as it once was

I haven't been to Darcy's in a few years. We, the staff at my school, used to frequent this establishment quite fequently when it opened. The new facility was clean and had a nice atmosphere - which it still does. We would stop in for lunch or for drinks after work. The food was great and the wait... read more

The menu included several Irish-inspired dishes including corned beef, sheperds pie, soups & stews. If you like heaps of french fries, this is the place to go! If you want a decent salad, not so much.

We visited D'arcys shortly after 11am and we were immediately seated. It was not long after we sat down that the restaurant was filling up quickly. D'arcys has a nice big parking lot, a very clean and attractive restaurant with high ceilings giving it a very roomy feel. D'arcys also has a fun atmosphere with the hustle and bustle of... More

Always interested in regional dishes, so I thought about having a horseshoe. But after seeing several orders pass our table I decided that my body couldn't do the dish justice and left the shoe to locals. Had the pot roast sandwich and mash instead, and it was terrific. The meat must have be more than an inch thick, topped with... More

My son & I were in Springfield overnight & wanted a fairly inexpensive place to eat that wasn't fast food. A couple people recommended Darcys. The wait staff was pleasant. I like for my son, who is disabled, to order his own food. The waitress was able to get his order right & didn't ask me what he wanted!!!! (that's... More

Thought I'd give them another chance, but it was the same old cheesesause. I'm fortunate to be a Springfield Native and originall horseshoe buff. One of my very close friends mom was a cook at the Leland hotel with the cheesesause recipe and then it went to the Chardell on cook, neither of which is still there. Now the only... More

If you have not had a horseshoe at Darcys, you're missing out. Been here with friends and my parents. Chili cheese ponyshoe and buffalo chicken horseshoe I have tried. Both excellent. The bar is good too. If the seating in dining area is full, check out the bar! You can still order food if you sit at the bar. Love... More

I can't even begin to comprehend how good this place is. Food is so good, warm people and proved very fair. Their signature horseshoe is out of this world. It's too much even for me, and I'm a big water. Will take me 3 months to burn all them calories but it was worth it. 5 stars.

This is a bar atmosphere restaurant, noisy. Food was good, but restaurant "rules" are inflexible. Although the menu said I could substitute veggies for .50 instead of potatoes, they said, oh..but not with the corned beef (not noted on the menu). I explained I was diabetic and did not want the potatoes so they said for a $3 up charge,... More

Highly recommended by locals so we checked it out. Waited 20 mi utes to be seated, they were very busy. Ordered Irish nachos and loved them!!! Delux pony shoe was disappointing.. I was looking forward to this famous dish but it fell short of its reputation.
