Not up to other Irish pubs. Service was slow. Food was not hot and fresh, but possibly prepared from frozen.

We were told by others that any trip to Springfield Illinois would not be complete without stopping here and having one of their famous "Horseshoes". Generically described as a base of bread covered with some variety of meat, then covered with french fries, and finally smothered with a cheese sauce, this is quite a meal! We arrived at this rather... More

My husband and I wanted to try out the horseshoe sandwich. We had the hamburger one. They had the best cheese sauce I have ever tasted on this sandwich. And they give you a lot on your plate. We were not disappointed one bit. And our waitress was so nice and friendly. Very efficient too. We will go back there... More

This seems to be a must stop at each time I visit Springfield. I usually get the Ponyshoe (smaller version of the Horseshoe) but wasn't quite that hungry so I decided to try something different. I ended up getting a Reuben sandwich. I know pretty typical. And it was just an ordinary sandwich. Served its purpose but probably wouldn't order... More

I went here for lunch with a couple of customers and we all pigged out on the horseshoes. Not only are they huge, they are delicious. I think they said Man v Food was there, and I can see why. Huge portions of tastiness. I'll definitely go back if I'm in the area again.

My husband loves their horseshoes so we go there, however I am a grilled chicken kind of gal, and no matter if it is on a salad or a sandwich it is dry, dry dry. Wish they could figure out how to cook juicy and tender grilled chicken here.
