This place was packed -- PACKED -- on a dreary Saturday night, and our hour-long wait for a table was made that much worse by all the servers carrying trays of delicious food past us as we waited! Apparently, they have other things on the menu, but you really want and came for a horseshoe sandwich, so let's get right... More

Working in the area my customer (a local) said we should definitely not miss getting a horseshoe at Darcys. After a bitter cold day working outside all day I was ready with a man bear sized hunger. Waitress took our order and got our drinks quickly but didn't introduce herself. Salad came quick. Large dinner salad was very big but... More

My wife and I stopped in D'arcy's today for lunch while in Springfield. We had been to their old location 8 to 10 years ago. My wife ordered a pony shoe with sliced sirloin. I had the half muffuletta. Our food came out quickly, and our plates looked massive. My wife loved her pony shoe, especially the melted cheese. She... More

The food here isn't bad, it's young person hangout. The main thing is the horseshoe here. For those of you who are from out of town this is a local favorite.

Never a dull moment, slight wait depending on the time of day or evening. Restaurant is lively and so are the wait staff; you don't see people milling about. The Horseshoe—a Springfield, IL staple—is primarily meat of your choice on open-faced sliced Texas toast covered in french fries and smothered in delectable Darcy's special white cheese sauce. The smaller variation,... More

Not the best meal in my life but Oh! so good. Informal. Hamburgers are great, especially their horse shoes.

While sometimes you may have to wait to dine here, it is definitely worth the wait if you're into Horseshoes! Any more, I expect to wait when I arrive because it is always busy, therefore it is no big deal to me. The service is usually fast and courteous, and the prices are reasonable. I definitely recommend it!

This restaurant was recommended to us and I am glad we stopped for lunch. It was very crowded the Monday after Thanksgiving with a hour wait. Fortunately, there were two strolls at the bar. My husband ordered cream of mushroom soup which was flavorful and not too heavy. He also had Shepherd's Pie which was good although a little heavy... More

It feels as though you are just a number at Darcys. The buffalo chicken sandwich is great! Horseshoes are good too but didn't stand out when compared to down the street. Slow service-restaurant is very clean!

Love their salads & horseshoes! Great place to eat. A busy place, so may have to wait, but well worth it.
