I travel for work, every week on the road and I eat out a lot. Nearly every night I am somewhere new, and often times in small towns where you don't get a lot of choices or fresh food. On a recent trip to Springfield I had a hankering for Irish Shepards Pie and decided to try Darcy's Pint. For... More

My daughter heard about this place from a friend who saw it on a travel program. My daughter had already been here once before and wanted me to try it...as well as get a "horseshoe"...an area favorite judging by the number of people around us who ordered one. Its a hot sandwich of various selections, served on Texas toast, surrounded... More

Place was hopping on a Tuesday night. Great menu very diverse. My order was the ribeye with the Irish mashed, the ribeye war good done the way I ordered MR, the Irish mash was awesome came in a ramekin over flowing like a mini pop over stuffed with cheese. Recommended by our hotel, this place was perfect for local food. We had the corned beef and cabbage and fish and chips. The soup that came with the corned beef (cream of mushroom) was very good. The walleye pike was crisp and flavorful. Although the "chips" we're French fries they were tasty. The service was incredibly fast. The atmosphere was... More

Good selection of beers- Guinness on tap- important for this style of venue. The service was a tad slow- but it was tremendously busy- so I'll give them a pass, and an A for effort. I ordered the Muffaletta sandwich- it comes in half and whole. Don't order the whole, unless you plan on eating it for three days. It... More

Now, I knew going here that this is pub grub and not gourmet. We were able to get a table right away, but it was not clean by any standards, and we had to ask that it be cleaned again. The waitress was very nice and efficient. The horseshoes that I ordered were OK, but I couldn't detect any seasoning... More

I used to love this place but they are way to busy and food is prepared in a hurry...I prefer fries that are not over cooked and don't care how much cheese sauce you put on them. Over frying fries is a sin..PLease listen up Darcy's.

The service is curt and the wait time for seating is not commensurate with the food quality. Better horseshoes, the signature dish of Springfield, is available at Engrained just down the road. basically a horseshoe for those who do not know-at D'Arcy's at least- is a piece of white dread toast, meat of your choice, burger, chicken, turkey, bacon, veggie... Recently a friend and I were in Springfield on a Lincoln Sight-seeing trip. Darcy's Pint was recommended as a great place to eat. It was busy when we got there on a Monday evening, but we quickly got a table and were quickly "served". The whole horseshoe was new to me, but I decided to try one. I can say... More
