Came here for dinner during my little vacation to Springfield. It was packed but since I was by myself i got to sit at the bar and order right away. I ordered a cup of chili to start with and it was really good. I've always heard about the horseshoe whether it be from man vs food or a cousin... More

If you want great food at reasonable prices, Darcy's Pint is for you. They are known for their Pony and Horse Shoes and are a must to try. Shoes are bread topped with some kind of meat (ham, hamburger, etc.),french fries and a cheese sauce "to die for". There is always a daily Shoe special plus a steak special, pasta... More

The Pony (and Horse if you are really hungry) shoes are the best. I ask for the fries underneath the cheese sauce instead of the normal way (cheese sauce over the top of the fries). That way the fries stay crunchy.

Had visiting family from out of town and apparently everyone in Springfield had the same. We arrived & put in our name & given a pager with no word about how long the wait would be. The two girls at the hostess stand seemed overwhelmed and frustrated that they were working and were surly and unfriendly to most of the... More

Place is kinda small and the back area not always open. Huge bar. 30 min wait but we sat down right away at the bar. I tried the rueben and it was nothing to remember. Corned beef was way over cooked and skimpy. For $8 you would think they would up the portion. Plus you only get chips and a... More

There are so many people who eat here and I cannot understand why. The horse-hoes served (the signature dish) are nothing special and lack quality ingredients. it seems the business model is to move as many people in and out shoving poorly and cheaply made food to maximize profit. It appears to be working due to the poor taste standards... More

This place was packed -- PACKED -- on a dreary Saturday night, and our hour-long wait for a table was made that much worse by all the servers carrying trays of delicious food past us as we waited! Apparently, they have other things on the menu, but you really want and came for a horseshoe sandwich, so let's get right... More
