I hesitated to give this restaurant a "2" because the owner was so nice and the staff so attentive. However, this is the worse Indian food I've ever eaten and I really can't recommend it to TripAdvisor readers. I love Indian food and have eaten it in many cities as well as in the home of friends. This food was... More

We were in Springfield for a conference and took our son, his wife and their two friends from Brazil to this restaurant for the Brazilians first Indian food ever. It was delish! And, the staff was very friendly and helpful! We loved it so much we went back for the lunch buffet on Sunday before we left town!

We were expecting so much as another site had rated it highly---we were disappointed.... The naan was ok but.... Chicken Vindaloo had fatty meat pieces and sort of a bland one note quality to it. Mango chicken was similarly bland--palatable to be sure but with an odd cinnamon flavor. Not worth the price....

My boyfriend and I were looking for a good Indian food restaurant to stop at on our weekend away. We got a coupon from restaurants.com to eat here, and we were not disappointed! We had excellent service by a friendly and helpful waitstaff, and never had to wait on a refill or top up. The food was incredibly delicious. We... More

This restaurant can dafinately use some upgrades as it looks very old from outside and inside. The chicken tikka was just perfectly spiced. Some indian restaurants I have been to, use some excessive spicing tht gave me heartburn after but this one was perfect. If u r fond of chicken tikka dish than i would recommand u this place.

My hubby and I have gone regularly to Gateway since it opened. We went for the lunch buffet. There was a very good variety of appetizers, dishes and dessert. They brought a fresh naan to our table. It was all very good. We are always pleased with our food under this latest ownership.

This is a small cozy restaurant that has amazing variety of meal choices. I highly recommend you try it if you visit Springfield. You won't regret.

My husband and I have decided that our 2014 is going to be about trying new things. We got started by trying out a food we had both never had before: Indian food. In the midwest, specifically Springfield, there aren't a lot of options (maybe any) for Indian food. I got a certificate for Gateway to India from Restaurants.com, and... More

My daughter and I went there for lunch, because we were craving for something exotic food. We decided to go to this place for lunch, and I must say that although the place is not big the food are big in flavors. This restaurant have enough varieties to satisfy your taste buds and your hungry belly. I went to some... More

The food was good. I requested mild and got it mild. I liked that. The Roti's were fresh and large. They serve the food on a small burner that keeps the food hot. A little pricey, but quantity is good. Been there before and they have maintained the quality. Stay off the Chai it was very watery.
