I visit the resturant almost every week and will continue for a long time. The atmospher is a little dated, but the bar area is great. Steak, lobster and salmon are my favorites and the seafood special with rice is awsome. On Wednesday, Friday and Saturday they feature live entertainment and dancing. The bar is now featuring the highend liquors... More

We eat here once a month on the average. The steaks are always very good, the service varies between good and excellent, and the ambience varies with the noise level. Recently had to change the name - the Gallagher's chain (NY, Vegas, etc) forced the issue, and I have to admit I don't remember the new name, but the food... More

Charlie R’s formerly Gallagher’s advertises “Same Great Location, Same Great Food, Same Great Service, Nothing has changed but the name!” THIS IS NOT TRUE! The service and atmosphere has have been compromised. We were a party of ten with reservations a week in advance. We had two servers that were working together to accommodate our party of ten, and they... More

Now under a new name--Charlie R's, because of threatened problem from the New York restaurant of the same name. In one word--Underwhelming. Went on a Saturday evening. The place was just this side of empty. The service was adequate with a couple of exceptions. There was no bread plate (although the rolls were the highlite of the evening for me)... More

Great place. Great food. Friendly staff. I have to say that i do agree with the previous reviews stating that the atmosphere is out dated, but my family and I eat there every time we are in town and yet to have had a bad experience. By now between my family and I, we have tried just about everthing on... More

The decore is depressing and reminded us of eating in a funeral home. The filet medalions that I had were odd tasting with a spongy texture. My wife ordered a salmon and crab entree and it turned out to be a small peice of salmon, smothered on a gooey cheese and topped with crushed crab meat. It was unappealing to the... More

We have been here several times previously for business and thought maybe the food and service was due to a very large group but not the truth! I ordered a filet and the outside was burned and inside was bleeding, I ordered it medium. Being known for steaks I would not expect this. Salads can come out of bag, and... More

A superb atmosphere of fine dining with quality menu items and service. The piano bar area offers comfortable entertainment while dining on weekends.

I cant imagine why anyone would review this place poorly. It is probably our favorite place in town. The one time my steak wasn't perfect, they took it away and gave me a brand new totally perfect one. Its a little old timey, but Its more atmosphere than run down. Its high for Springfield but nothing compared to what a... More

We went with a party of 10 to celebrate a friend's birthday. Our waiter did not show up for 20 minutes and we were 45 minutes in before seeing our drinks. We asked if we could please orderand the waiter said "NO" - we were dumbfounded. He had other tables to take care of. The food was good but after... More
