Local favorite, but can't figure out why. Good bar atmosphere, but the food is really bad. Everything soaked in cheese, whether it should be or not. more
I was very worried about going to this restaurant after reading the reviews but we had a gift certificate with our hotel package. I thought the negative reviews were right on in some respects and pleasantly surprised in others. The staff was friendly which I was worried about and we got very fast (almost too fast) service from our waitress.... more
I'm really surprised to see some of the bad reviews for this place. My friend and I ate dinner here in mid September 2009 and had a very good meal. We didn't have a reservation but went in at about 7:00 on a Friday and only waited about 20 minutes. The dinning room was very busy which I usually take... more
Visited in July 2009. After reading the reviews here I thought I would try this as I love real Italian cookling. The food was very bland. Saputos is food for the serious Italian lover. This is the down and dirty, cannot find it in another city, homemade food. Try the baked lasanga!! more
These folks have been in business for a LONG time and it's easy to tell why! Their home-cooked Italian meals are wonderful! We enjoyed the ravioli. My husband had the sausage with it and said it was very spicy. I enjoyed my giant meatballs! The bread was to die for! No room for dessert. We'll be back! more
Mediocre food, horrible service, surly management, miserable atmosphere. We've eaten there twice now and will not be going back. The food is edible but overpriced. The ambience is lacking, in no small part because of plastic table cloths and stackable chairs. Not at all recommended more
Given the proximity to the two major hotels in downtown, and the fact that it is a favorite with the legislators, you can usually find some powerful people here ... and the food is powerful as well ... great tasting and good prices ... the service and atmosphere are both out of this word ... more
