This restaurant was recommended to us at our hotel. We enjoyed eating at an outside table, but our server was not particularly warm--just "business-like" I felt the cracker basket was unnecessary. Sure, the bread would be more expensive, but also more authentic! I had the baked ravioli with meatballs and to be honest, while the meatballs were big, they didn't... More

The food was good but I really didn't find it anything special. I had the eggplant parmigiana which lacked any exciting flavor. It wasn't bad but it wasn't beyond average. The restaurant was extremely busy. I have been here before and didn't realize that had a back room that I am guessing they have private parties which is where we... More

Service was prompt and friendly. Had a local-friendly vibe. Had the lasagna which is made with a bit different of a noodle than traditional lasagna. Was a little too "wet" but had great flavor.

I was only in Springfield for one night…on a road trip to visit the Lincoln museum and historic sites. But how could Saputo's possibly be #88 on your list? Complete injustice. Behind Starbucks? Bakers Square? Texas Roadhouse? Golden Corral? TGI Fridays? Caribou Coffee? Subway? Outback?….Really? It was recommended to us by the very nice Park Ranger. This place is great.... More

I have never eaten better Italian food anywhere, and I travel a lot! Any time I'm in Springfield, I try to make a point of eating there. Reservations are recommended, as it is a popular local eatery!

Great Italian food a staple of Springfield for as long as I can remember. My favorite dish is lasagna especially delicious. They also have a bar so nice to have a pre dinner cocktail.

This is the place to hang with the politicos if you are into that. The breaded steak with a side of garlic sauce is to die for. Any baked pasta is also fantastic.

My wife and I have eaten here several times. It is conveniently located near downtown hotels and offers superb Italian cuisine in a friendly family atmosphere. The Coffey family goes out of their way to see that guests receive promp, high quality service and their attention to detail is second to none. You will not be disappointed with this choice... More

Met our daughter and fiance here after a failed attempt at Cafe Brio. The atmostphere was fine, kind of 1970's homey, and the food was good. Wine was a little pricey given the atmosphere. Four of us shared one bottle of wine, each had the restaurant's special, and the bill was $100. MIght try it again, but would check out... More

Had dinner at Saputo's last evening. I ordered Baked Lasagna. I guess I was expecting "Americanized" lasagna, i.e. layers of noodles, meat sauce, ricotta cheese, sauce topped with mozzarella. What I received was noodles and mass quantities of red sauce with an Italian sausage log on top. It was literally disgusting. Again, my title says it all. I'm not Italian... More
