The Salmon was great but the prime rib and beef Wellington made us have to get out of there as fast as possible so we could get some ice Cream at cold stone down the street. They were nice enough not to charge us for the steaks.Maybe next time it would be better

Their filets will melt in your mouth and they also have great french onion soup. A little pricey but worth it.

We were pleasantly surprised to find this gem in downtown Springfield. The building is from the mid 1800's and been maintained, a beautiful period ceiling and bar. The staff is knowledgeable and very friendly, it seemed they all knew the history of the building and owner/chef who has been in Springfield since the 90's. We had a great encounter with... More

This establishment (more than 125 years old) is still serving terrific meals. Our children count this as one of their best memories. Great food and service. While a bit expensive, it will remain as a great memory.

Stodgy , over-priced, moody owner, loss of a wonderful bartender and the same specials ( halibut) seem to keep the lid on this hallmark restaurant -at least for me. I don't claim to be a professional critic and I'm probably off base but how about some decor and menu tweaks? The owner cares and is very talented. I think the... More

We went to this restaurant for my birthday on Feb. 7th. We had a wonderful experience. The staff was friendly and helpful. We had a really good meal. We shared the pork belly as an appetizer and a goat cheese salad. I had the beef wellington and my husband had the calves liver. For dessert I had creme brulee and... More

You'll be ignored in this restaurant unless someone knows you regardless of whether you have reservations or not. The service was horrible for such an expensive restaurant. We tried getting wait staff to actually bring eating utensils and were ignored every time as they walked toward the entrance to greet someone else by name. With that kind of treatment, I'm... More
