I absolutely love going to Nick and Ninos. We had the weekend free and decided to do a date night with another couple and chose Nick and Ninos. I have dined here before and the food is always delicious and the atmosphere is perfect for an adult dinner out. Total relaxation is the only way I can describe my experience.... More

My husband and I took a get-away weekend from Chicago on July 18. We made dinner reservations at Nick & Nino's and that was the best decision ever. From the warm and courteous greeting of Denise upon our arrival to her heartfelt goodbye at the end of the evening, we were always in good hands. The intimate setting was so... More

Dear Patchicago - Wow! You're very welcome! Thank YOU for taking the time to let us know we made your trip. We love hearing that. Isn't Denise a treasure? She's a little kooky, but you gotta love her. We certainly hope your travels will take you this way again. Please come back and see us soon! More

Traveling 1/2 the year, I love when I'm needed in Springfield! I love searching out new, local hot spots, or regional cuisines. Springfield eliminates any searching. N & N's has the most perfectly cooked, and tender steaks I have come across in years. I like my steaks cooked rare / medium rare. When I order it, the server will usually... More

Dear Lem - Perfect? Well, I don't know about that, BUT I will say we are always especially tickled to read nice things offered by someone who obviously possesses a palate that knows the difference between good and great. And that's a fine line that only a true "foodie" can walk gracefully. On behalf of Chef Steve and his very,... More

I had the fillet mignon flight. They were prepared exactly as I like, the crusts and sauce were perfection, and the sides complemented them exactly. Our waiter was attentive but not obtrusive. We got a window table with a great view of the state capitol. We were there a little too early in the evening to get the full effect,... More

Theresa - thank you so much for the lovely review. If we could just cut-and-paste and re-post it 375 times, we'd not have a care in the world! Sadly, Trip Advisor frowns upon such things so we'll savor yours and get back to biting our nails in anticipation of the next one! In all sincerity: we genuinely appreciate that you... More

Mediocre food but one of the best views from a Springfield restaurant. I had the grilled fish and hubby had a steak, both were ok, we also had the lobster bisque which was so so. Pricey for the quality. Great service and cocktails tho!

Holly - thank you for taking the time to offer your feedback. Glad you enjoyed the view and the service, but a little disappointed you found the food only "so-so." Perhaps you'll find some of the new items on our upcoming summer menu a little more to your liking....that debuts next week. The lobster bisque is staying, however....=). Please come... More

We had a window table and 30th-floor view of Springfield at night. (Reserve early.) My wife ordered lamb chops and pronounced them excellent. I ordered sea bass. It, too, was very good. We found the list of wines by the glass very good. All were at least $10 a glass. Service was professional and well informed. This is an excellent... More

Thank you, Arthur. We're glad you and your wife enjoyed the meal AND the view. Just a head's up regarding our wine selection: we are expanding our cellar this fall, hence you can expect a larger wine list with a wider selection and price point. So if you plan a trip back this way later in the year you might... More

At the top of one of the world's ugliest hotels, the only attribute being a great view, this restaurant offers high quality steaks and incredible desserts. The other entrees are unique and dispite the mid west location, I found the Sea Bass to be almost perfect. Try the lobster bisque, best I have ever had. And I didn't know corn... More

PJ - Thank you for taking the time to offer your kind words. We forgive you the "world's ugliest hotel" dig in exchange for the restaurant rave. And, frankly, you may not be too far off the mark...lol. But, we do have damn fine restaurant and we appreciate you saying so! Come back and see us again soon! More
