Well, they invented the corn dog. They were pretty good. Chilli was very greasy. Fries had a weird taste. Overall, worth a visit because of the kitch and history. Have a corn dog so you can say you did it.

If you are looking for a kitschy place with tons of history, character and friendly people, this is your place. Its not fine cuisine, but that is not why you go here. The staff was super friendly, and you could spend an hour looking at all the memorabilia. Food was fine and if you good there early, you can catch... More

We saw this place spotlighted on one of the Food Network shows and decided we would try it next time we were in Springfield. My husband and I were in Springfield for two days recently and headed over once we dropped our stuff off at the hotel. Since corn dogs are a guilty pleasure for both of us we were... More

This place has so much RT 66 thing to look at and you are able to buy RT 66 things. We had the Cozy Dog and loved it with fries. Fast service and Great staff.

Ok, so this tastes just like the Hot Dog on a Stick in L.A. but, it is a landmark in Springfield so you have to try it. This place looks like it’s out of the 1950’s with a diner/car hop feel. It is on what was Route 66 so there are all kinds of memorabilia everywhere. We had their family... More

In the UK we don't have many places offering corn dogs so when I heard about this place, I knew I had to try it out. As we were passing through Springfield, we thought we would give this little diner a try and so glad that we did, the fries were hand cut and large in portion size and the... More

Stopped for a Cozy Dog since this place is mentioned in the Jerry McClanahan's EZ66 Guide. Colorful place with lots of Rt 66 memorabilia. We both had a Cozy Dog just 'cuz. Was OK but nothing to drive a hundred miles for. A full fast food menu with a variety of items. Fun stop.

After visiting Dana-Thomas house, headed south and had to stop at Cozy Dog for lunch. Corn dog was delicately crispy on the outside with fluffy interior surrounding a good-quality hot dog. Fresh cut fries are terrific. Topped it off with root beer made with real cane sugar mmm (don't tell my dietician!). Lots of memorabilia covering the walls to look... More

Interesting place. The food was good and reasonably priced. That it was part of the Route 66 trek made it worth going to see. We had fun there.

Had to stop for a "Cozy Dog" while in town. Never a disappointment. We had a Cosy, regular hot dog, hamburger and large fries. When they say large fries they mean exactly that. It is a hot dog place but special because of the Route 66 connection. If you are in the area you must stop here.
