Good American food, classic roadside diner

The corn dogs are great, as you might expect, but this place is actually more interesting for the Route 66 mini-museum that's inside the restaurant. There's usually a short wait before your order is ready, so do check out the memorabilia and books while you wait. What else are you going to do?

The food is great and the service is whirlwind quick! This quintessential landmark fun diner is the BOMB! Go back in time and order the original cozy dog and imagine yourself back in the 60s hair greased back and a poodle skirt sitting next to you. This place is boogie woogie wild and treat laden. PLEASE INVITE ME WHEN YOU... More

Undoubtedly the best corn dogs. Light batter, consistently cooked to a light crunchy outer lawyer without tasting overlooked. It doesn't taste deep fried. The historic restaurant has a unique, and homey feel.

I don't generally find too many redeeming qualities in fast food restaurants or deep fried menu options. I was very skeptical before going to Cozy Dog, thinking it would be a grease-pit. I was pleasantly surprised. Granted, nothing at Cozy Dog is good for your health, but it was surprisingly good. I hate corn dogs, and the corn dogs were... More

The home of the corn dog on old Route 66. I've been there many times. The last visit they were closed for a wedding &-(!?@. Rats....next time I'll have to go twice.

I'm not a huge fan of corn dogs, but these were great. Not greasy, batter was light, quite tasty. Fries were great. Would go again.

Just plain good food, especially the corn dogs. Hamburgers are grilled, a little greasy but that makes them good. Fries are fresh and hand cut, also good.

This is a place you either love or hate, I've taken people here that hated the food and Ives that liked it, I personally like it. I take the kids here and we get a cozy dog basket and cheese burger basket (4 of each) and a large fry (it's huge) and it works well

This was part of our stop on Route 66. Supposed to be known for their corn dogs. Not worth the time to stop! No waiters. You have to go to the counter to order. Then go back to get your food. Then take your tray to the disposal spot. And to top it off. The corn dogs were not good.... More

My husband is a huge fan of corn dogs and when we heard this is where corn dogs originated, we had to go there. The place isn't fancy but well worth the experience. The Cozy Dog was better than any corn dog we've ever had and the soups were homemade delicious. We like finding places like this that have a... More
