Went to the Cozy Dog just for the experience. The corn dogs weren't that great but you did get a lot of fries for your money. Nice nostalgic place to visit. I'm sure we will stop in again.

I've been going to Cozy Dog for over 30 years and the corn dogs taste as good now, as they did then!!! It's something in their batter, a little sweetness, the corn dog never gets brown, it's always a golden color, just perfect. My wife and I always get the family basket: 4 corn dogs and a large fry for... More

Just a fun place to taste the original American classic. The fries are delicious, and I always get my coke in a bottle.

There are so many places in Springfield we could eat but we keep gravitating back to Cozy Dog. It is touristy and not at all updated but the food is great and the place is clean. We always eat the corn dogs but we took notice also of the cheeseburgers being eaten. Maybe next time we give those a try... More

This was our first time eating corn dogs and damn, this was good! We loved every single bit of it and as an homage to the cozy dog i decided to put two corn dogs on my route 66 tattoo! The atmosphere here is the nostalgic fast food joint atmosphere, including two pimply teenagers serving the food!

It's fun to stop at the Cozy Dog when you're traveling Route 66, but don't stop here for the food. The hot dogs were just average, but it's the nostalgia, isn't it?

From the moment we spotted the restaurant, we were plunged into the 1950's atmosphere. The nostalgia of The MOTHER ROAD is rich with Historic ROUTE 66 signs, items from that era, & the furniture even is, or resembles the first great road from Chicago to Los Angeles. NOW, as for the food; it's outa the past, with the famous COZY... More

You're not going here for amazing food, but to take in the ambiance of a time long gone. We were there and a dozen classic cars arrived- was very cool to see! We had corn dogs and fries and they were just fine. Not amazing, but it was fun seeing all of the memoriabilia from the old Rt. 66!

We stopped here for about the third time in many years. Just because it is what it is. Fun memorabilia in front. It is just a little inside dining drive in. The corn dog is good, but not state fair good. The price for a small cup of coffee was $1.50. That's what we found a little steep.

Face it - this is a place that's famous for corn dogs. It's not a 5 star place, but for corn dogs, fries, rings, etc. this is a neat place to eat. I don't even like corn dogs, but hubby said, "Don't judge corn dogs until you eat a Cozy Dog." Well, he was right... I ate 2! Service is... More
