The Cozy Dog Drive In in Springfield, IL has the best corn dogs I have ever eaten. The batter is light and not at all greasy. The onion rings were wonderful, too. Not at all greasy. This nostalgic place supposedly invented the corn dog on a stick, and it's worth a visit. Their corn dogs *are* really good. All the stuff on display is fun to see. Another fun thing is that you can add your own flavors (cherry, etc.) to your Coke. more

We took our kids here on a recent trip to Springfield. The "cozy dogs" were a hit as was the Route 66 soda. Lots of old memorabilia to see. Good value also. more
