Taverna down a side turning off the Main Street, worth making the effort to find. Would highly recommend the stifado and kleftiko, possibly the best in Sissi.
One of my favourite restaurants in Sissi. The best moussaka I had ever tasted......and I've tasted a lot lol. Definately a must to visit. The owner George makes his own wine which my husband says is lovely. Enjoy!
First visit I had a pizza from the wood fired oven. Gave the Italians a run for their money. Wife had Moussaka, home made in a little pyrex dish. House wine in a jug, fabulous. Second visit I tired Bekri Meze, no idea what it was and was pleasantly surprised when it came. Apparently no two are the same and... More
We remembered how good the food was here from a previous visit three years ago so couldn't wait to try them again - and again! We were not disappointed. This is a small taverna on the back street down the side of the jewellery shop opposite the bakery and really shouldn't be missed! They use a wood fired oven and... More
Good old George....When you're looking for honest food at a fair price, he won't let you down. Don't expect gourmet dining but...do have a pizza....
Just had an early dinner and was delicious. Restaurant spotlessly clean. Family run with very nice welcome. Delicious fresh cooked pizza in wood-fired pizza oven and price very reasonable. Highly recommend that you visit here.
We always got a smile and pleasant welcome on arrival and, during our stay ate a couple of lunches and an evening meal here. The owner is very pleasant and service is efficient and friendly. There is an extensive menu of Greek food plus different Pizzas, all of which seem to be cooked in a wood-burning oven visible towards the... More
Visited last year and did not review. Lovely Georgos looks after you and the food is always, fresh, hot and of the highest quality. Also does great pizzas if you feel like a change from Greek food. Got takeway pizzas one night and the prawn with garlic was delicious and Mr. GeordiePants was in seventh hevean. Highly recommended.
Visited May 2013. The staff were friendly and the tzatziki was the best we had all week, but the pizza was very average (wayyy too much cheese!) for somewhere with a special pizza oven. However, lamb chops were great and the chips were hand cut and very nice. There are much nicer places in Sissi.
