Great food. Prime Rib was awesome with very little fat and excellent flavor. Baked potato was superb!

Dimly lit supper club atmosphere with small salad bar. Great tasting steak, especially the Whiskey Strip and bacon wrapped shrimp with citrus horseradish dipping sauce appetizer. Multiple people comfortably brought kids, but there is No kids menu. That said, they will bring an extra plate and allow you to split between a couple kids. Come early if no reservation as... More

I have lived in Omaha for 30+ years, but I had never been to The Drover. It's kind of out of the way, so I never drive by it, but after dinner there last night, I know I will be back. I went there for my birthday celebration. I would recommend making a reservation--even on a Monday night, there wasn't... More

Unfortunately though, I'm not a good Ol' boy and since I lean to salmon rather than steak, my meal was so-so. A very expensive business group dinner; wish I could have skipped it. The steak folks seemed very happy, so that at least is good.

My dining partner and I have 20 years of cumulative experience in the culinary industry. This was without a question the best steak experience either of us have had. The ambiance is old and rustic but cozy. The service was prompt, courteous and unobtrusive. The steaks melted without the need for a steak knife. Salad bar was small but charming... More

We have been to Drover three times and enjoyed our steak, but each visit has been marred by horrible service. The smallest of requests (being seated, getting more water or the check) seem to be taxing on the staff (one server - on an evening that was not busy - sighed audibly when asked for another drink). I've eaten there... More

I feel this could have been easily a five star review if I had made a different menu choice. I ordered the big bone in rib eye, marinated in whiskey. Although the dish was tasty and the cooking style perfect, I think the whiskey marinade covered the real taste of the meat rather than bring it up. The atmosphere inside... More

We have been going to the Drover for over 25 years, and have NEVER had a bad meal or bad service. We only go to this restaurant 3 to 4 times a year because we want it to remain our place to celebrate birthdays or anniversaries. We have had guests from other states that we have taken their, ad they... More

OK the place is not the nicest place. Service needs improvement. It is Priced very reasonable for the quality. Wine choice could be improved but overall very good. However, the Steak is just perfect. Ok, you want to eat a very good steak, just go there and enjoy!! Do not expect a luxurious place and fancy service but the best... More

Kind of hidden amongst the other building, yet worth the hunt. The best steak you could find in Omaha.
