Steaks were excellent! The whiskey marinade is awesome! The toffee cheesecake was amazing too! Felt like service could be a bit better for the prices.

We went to The Market House and asked them for a steakhouse recommendation, and the manager told us The Drover was the place to go for a classic Omaha Steakhouse experience. She was right - this place is a classic, and I got the second-best steak of my steak-loving life. (Best was when I was 9 and it came off... More

I have never been to a restaurant where you can't order drinks from your waitress, but need to wait for the cocktail waitress to take your drink order. Very retro. Steaks were old fashioned - just a good steak. Salad bar is very old school. Baked potato in foil. All was good and we enjoyed the food and atmosphere. Good... More

Awesome authentic Midwest steak house. Love the atmosphere. Servers where friendly and professional. Couldn't ask for a better Omaha steak house experience. Do not hesitate.

Highly recommend the whiskey filet. It was very well prepared, and the way it is marinated makes the steak very tender. Only reason I didn't give 5 stars is the service is average. Food =5, customer service =3

The food and service are both very good. The bacon wrapped shrimp appetizer that is not on the menu is a must. Do NOT choose this restaurant if you want to have a conversation with anyone at the table. The restaurant is ridiculously loud.

We walked in without a reservation a Wednesday evening. It was no problem and we waited in the bar for our table. The bartender told us that the wine labels in the bar surface were real and the bar counter had not been changed since 1968. The rest of the interior was also in that style which is positive that... My son and I were in town and we heard about The Drover and knew we needed to give it a try. We were not disappointed. Like many other reviews have said, the place is not the fanciest but I think it is just fine. We were seated promptly and the server was also prompt and attentive. We ordered the... More

The Drover has great steak. Walking in is like a time wrap back to the seventies. We went on a Monday night and the place was packed, service was good not great. The whiskey steak was truly one of the best I have had. Prices are not cheap but not crazy expensive like a Flemming's. Next time I am in... More

This was my first trip to Omaha and I asked some of the locals for advice on restaurants. The Drover was highly recommended. I was warned to not be scared off by the restaurant's appearance. The restaurant is dark, I didn't see a single window. The decor is very outdated, circa 1970's. However, the food and service are top notch!... More
